Tilting Trailer Hitch Mounted 2 Bike RackVideo of 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack w Frame Mount Cradles for 1-1/4" Hitch
Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today we are going to show you part number 63120. This is the two-bike, hitch-mounted, folding rack with frame-mount cradles for 1-1/4 inch hitch. This is from Tow-Ready. This rack carries up to two bikes and works with many alternative and larger tube-frame bikes. However, womens bikes may require an adapter. It has heavy-duty, Velcro, straps which secure the bikes to the carrier, and a powder coated finish to resist corrosion and rust. It has rubberized pads to protect the finish on the bikes as you load them on. And the bike rack tilts forward to allow access to the rear of the vehicle. And also, the shank rises for better ground clearance. It fits 1-1/4 inch hitches only, and the maximum weight on the rack cannot exceed 66 pounds.
We are going to go ahead and show off some of the features on this rack. And to start off, as you can see it has just a standard pin and clip to secure it to the hitch of your car. And then it has this two-inch rise, as described before, to give greater ground clearance as you are driving down the road. OK, next we are going to show you how the tilt feature works. It is pretty simple. You pull the pin out and let it fall forward, toward you, so you can reach the rear of your vehicle. We are going to show you how a bike loads up. Now it is simple enough. You just undo the Velcro straps, put the bike in, and re-strap it down. Now, we are going to use a standard-frame bike for this, just for demonstration purposes. As stated before, the cradles do come with Velcro straps and rubber padding to ensure that the bikes do not get scratched as you load them on. And you can also see that it has a reflector. And there you have it for part number 63120. This is the two-bike, hitch-mounted, folding rack with frame-mount cradles for 1-1/4 inch hitches from Tow-Ready.

Good upper body workout.... As noted by other reviewers, the rack is very heavy and very well built...could probably hang a small elephant off the thing and not worry. I wrapped the upright with bike inner tube and duct tape where bike hits upright, then use bungie cord to pull the frame tight to the round upright of the rack. The bungie serves to keep bike from swinging back and forth and causing possible scratches to frame or components. I have used it since early summer this year with no problems Great rack for the price.3576

Heavy, but strong. Like another reviewer mentioned this thing is a bit heavier than I expected, but it seems very well made and strong. I don't see any weak points that could break. It says it is rated for 66 lbs, but feels much stronger than that, and they probably underrated it a bit. I don't expect to put more than one bike on it most of the time, but keep this in mind if you have 2 heavier bikes. I bought it with hitch #24776 also from this site, and the fit was perfect.2802

Best for the price I was searching for a 2 bike rack to fit into my class 1 hitch and really came down to the $180 Thule 912 or this one. I know Thule is a solid company but this was a bargain for the price so I gave it a try. Overall it's a decent rack, and I trust it with my $2000 stumpjumper. My only gripe is that it has some movement while in the hitch, which can be solved with some shims from home depot or lowes. I think the cars behind me saw the rack shake a bit were scared it would fall off because they drove bus lengths behind me. Cushioning where the bike touches the rack is adequate but nothing like that of a Thule. So, if you want to spend $100 more for better straps, cushioning, and anti rattle.. go with a Thule. If you want an economical solution which works just as well (just need shims so the rack doesn't shake while driving) then this is completely ok. Also I would highley recommend a locking pin. 1809

Both the Hidden Hitch and 2 bike rack (63120) are well made and of heavy-duty construction. I was lazy and had our local Honda dealer do the hitch installation (0.4 hr, $45) and they reported no problems. It works great, although I do need to buy an adapter bar for my wife's bike, which is a woman's frame, otherwise the bike rides too high. Etrailer sent it out right away and even called to check on the delivery. Great job! 30749

I have a 2004 Maxima which is lower to the ground and my old bike rack scraped the road up here in the mountains. This works like a charm, loads nicely!28746
