Today on this 2010 Pontiac Vibe we are going to install part number 24812 from Draw-Tite. This will also apply to Hidden Hitch part number 60898. This is what the hitch looks like when installed on the vehicle. We are going to give you a couple measurements that will help you out when ing accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 10-7/8inches. From the center of the pin hole out to the edge of the bumper is 3 inches. No we are going to show you how the hitch gets installed on this vehicle. :33
First thing we want to do is inspect the bolt holes on the frame of the vehicle. It may be a good idea to spray some lubricant in there to wash the debris out and then run the bolt in. Do that for all the holes in the frame. Next we will go ahead and lift the hitch in position. What we are going to do is slide the passenger side of the hitch over the exhaust, so the exhaust will hold up the hitch while we work on the driver side. :53
Once you have all the hardware installed you may want to take a second and move the hitch back and fourth to get it as centered as possible. Then go ahead and snug down the bolts. Once you have them all snugged down, you can torque them down as specified in the instructions. That will finish it for our install of part number 24812 from Draw-Tite on a 2010 Pontiac Vibe.

Hitch was easy to install. Holes in frame were quit rusty and had a hard time getting them in. Maybe etrailer could include a tap with their kits? If you take one of the bolts and cut a groove on one side about 1/2 inch up from the end, it will act as a tap to clean the threads out. (Thanks Ryan for this idea!) Wiring was easy too. This is my second hitch from etrailer and will be back, should I need another.23846

I was amazed how quickly the hitch was shipped out and how quickly it got to me. The instructions were clear and it went on quite easily with the exception of the nuts on the vehicle being rusty. It took a bit to get the bolts screwing into them. It would be a good idea to use a tap on them first. The wiring harness connected easily too. The whole job was done in a very short amount of time.8768

Easy Installation It took me longer to get it out of the box than it did to actually mount it. The holes matched up perfectly and I was done in no time. I would also recommend the wiring kit as well. 2888

Great product - easy install Great product. Easy to install. Did it by myself in less than 30 minutes. Be sure to spray WD40 in the threaded holes in the vehicle frame and make sure the threads are clean. You'll be able to screw the bolts almost all of the way by hand.2399

Easy To Install Just received and installed. Suggest viewing video and pre-installing bolts with WD40 to insure threads are good. Total installation time 25 minutes.2027
