I went out to the warehouse and measured the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the carrier and found that it is 9 inches. You will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch to the farthest out part of the vehicle or spare tire, if the Subaru has a rear mounted spare tire.
