Today we are going to show you part number 5801600 the Mover Transporter. What we have here is a 48 by 32 inch cargo carrier with side rails and a ramp. This extra long cargo carrier with a ramp may be positioned upright for hauling. This is great for anything with wheels such as mobility scooters, generators, and snow blowers or pretty much any other wheeled item. This complete system also includes anti skid tape to keep stuff from sliding around and the D ring tie down points to complete the Mover Transporter package. It has a ramp that offers ground level access for easy loading obviously. It has ample size and high rails to accommodate transporting large equipment, heavy, or wheeled items. This platform itself is designed to have 3 steel planks and it is also designed to be lightweight, plus high strength. 0:42
Accessories include, as I mentioned before, D ring tie down points to attach straps for bungee cords and what not. Anti-skid tape on the floor helps prevent slips while using the ramp and keeps stuff from moving around on the carrier itself. It also comes with one silent hitch pin. What this does is reduces the movement and the noise of the carrier inside the trailer hitch itself. It is a stabilizer and anti-rattle all in one. This whole assembly does come with a one year warranty. To demonstrate the biggest feature is the ramp itself. It is pretty easy to use. You just pull the pin and then pull back on the stabilizer here and just let it go down. Next we will load up a motor scooter and show you how that is secured to the carrier. To secure it, you can use a variety of methods. Today we will be using these ratchet straps from Erickson, part number 34414. - Does the Ramp on the Gear Cage Scooter Carrier Fold Into the Carrier for Storage
- We have one of these set up in our show room. It will not fold down into the carrier for storage. The hinge design will only allow it to move up to about 90 degrees straight up. I have included a link to a video of this carrier being demonstrated.
We do have a scooter carrier that has a ramp that will fold into itself. The Rage 28x48 carrier, part # SC500. The dimensions are a bit smaller than the GearCage, but it may work. I have included a video on the Rage carrier that shows how it is used

- The reason the setup you are suggesting will not work is that the tongue weight will ultimately be far to great at the hitch on the motor home. The extension holding the cargo carrier and, ultimately the Boat, is not made to support the weight of further attachments. Safety becomes a huge consideration.

- Generally speaking laws in your state may vary the carriers do not require lights unless the vehicle tail lights are blocked by the carrier or the gear on them. As the carrier can stick out as much as a few feet from the rear of the vehicle, I recommend using the lights to provide more visibility for other drivers. - The 48x32 Moover Transporter System for 2 inch Hitches, part # 5801600, that you referenced is the widest cargo carrier we have at this point, and it only has a width of 32 inches. It sounds like a small trailer would be your best bet for hauling your 34 inch wide snow blower.
You could use a Buffalo Tools Mini Utility Trailer, part # BTTRMB12, this trailer has a width of 40 inches and should be a good fit for your snow blower. You should note that this trailer has a maximum speed of 55 mph.
