Draw-Tite Activator III Electric Trailer Brake Controller with General Motors Adapter (2003-2006)

We started with all the benefits of the proven 5500 Activator II brake controller, then we updated the looks, gave it a brighter display, and added Tekonsha's quick disconnect feature to get the truly improved Activator III brake controller. Draw-Tite's Activator III is for trailers with electric brakes. The controller applies the trailer's brakes electronically as soon as the brake pedal is engaged, unlike pendulum models which react to inertia created after the tow vehicle's brakes have already begun to stop. The amount of braking power (output) and rate of application (sync) are both adjustable for the individual driver's preference depending on road conditions, type of trailer and load. The driver can control the amount and rate of braking from soft to aggressive and the brakes can be manually applied.

Features:
  • Digital Output Indicator
  • Thumb Wheel Output Adjustment
  • Overload Indicator
  • 100% Solid State
  • No Hydraulic Connections
  • No Moving Parts or Pendulums
  • Quick and easy disconnect feature allows user to remove and store the control when not in use.
    • Vehicle specific wiring adapter is included to make installation simple
  • Lifetime Limited Warranty
Specs:
  • Dimensions: 3-1/4" Wide x 4-7/8" Long x 1-1/8" High
  • Designed for up to 4-Axle Trailers (8 Brakes)
  • Mount Anywhere - Leveling is not Required
Installation:

The vehicle specific adapter has one end that plugs into the back of the brake controller while the other end plugs into the port located in the black box under the dash.
Note: If your vehicle has a factory installed hitch and 7-way connector, then all of the wires for the brake controller have already been run. If not, additional parts will be required to complete the installation of the brake controller.
