Draw-Tite Activator II Electric Trailer Brake Controller with General Motors Adapter (2003-2006)

Ready for Act II? Draw-Tite brings a few more features to their Activator series with this model. Not only does it handle up to 8 brakes, there is also a digital display which keeps you informed of output levels, as well as any indication of overload. Draw-Tite's Activator II electronic brake controller is for trailers with electric brakes. The controller applies the trailer's brakes electronically as soon as the brake pedal is engaged, unlike pendulum models which react to inertia created after the tow vehicle's brakes have already begun to stop. The amount of braking power (output) and rate of application (sync) are both adjustable for the individual driver's preference depending on road conditions, type of trailer and load. The driver can control the amount and rate of braking from soft to aggressive and the brakes can be manually applied.

Features:
  • Digital Output Indicator
  • Thumb Wheel Output Adjustment
  • Overload Indicator
  • 100% Solid State
  • No Hydraulic Connections
  • No Moving Parts or Pendulums
  • Mounts Anywhere - No Leveling Required
  • Vehicle specific wiring adapter is included to ease installation
  • Lifetime Limited Warranty
Specs:
  • Dimensions: 3-3/16" Wide x 6-1/8" Long x 1-1/4" High
  • Designed for up to 4-Axle Trailers (8 Brakes)
  • Mount Anywhere - Leveling is not Required
Installation:

The vehicle specific adapter has one end with a plug that connects to a port in the black box located under the dash. The other end of the adapter has four bare wires that attach to the four corresponding wires on the brake controller.
Note: If your vehicle has a factory installed hitch and 7-way connector, then all of the wires for the brake controller have already been run. If not, additional parts will be required to complete the installation of the brake controller.
