- To use the winch you selected, Shelby 1,900 lbs. Single Speed Winch, part # 5408, you would need to use a winch post with mounting plate on top or a different style winch such as a ratchet crank or top-mounted handle winch.

- I contacted our representative at Shelby about installing a strap with the Shelby Trailer Winch, part # 5408. She informed me that any 2 inch strap, like the Dutton-Lainson Strap # DL24260, will work with the Shelby Winch # 5408. The strap should attach to holes on the reel, that are near the hub of the winch on each side of the reel.
The Shelby winch representative sent a diagram of the winch, I have marked where the bolt holes are where the strap bolt should attach.
