Video Transcript for Reese Two Balls and Sticks Hitch Aligner Review

Are you ready to back up and get your hitch perfectly aligned with your trailer the first time? If you enjoy backing up and getting out and backing up and getting out then this item is not for you. The simply designed hitch aligner will save you a lot of time and frustration. Our quick video will illustrate how easy it is to use and you will wonder why you ever hooked up a trailer without it.

What this does is make lining up your truck and trailer that much easier and basically they are easy to use and install. We will show you how, but first here are some of the features of this product. The sticks have strong magnets on the bottom to help attach themselves to the truck and trailer. The balls are colored yellow so they are easily seen by the driver. Also the sticks themselves are coated in a chrome finish that resists rust and corrosion. The height you can get to is 13-1/2 inches when collapsed and reach up to 42-1/4 inches when fully extended. Now we will move on to show you how they are used. First we will start off with the truck side. Now you do the same thing for the trailer side, and be sure to try to put it on the end of the coupler as possible. Now pull it up to where you need it. There you have it for part # 53410, the Two Balls and Sticks Hitch Aligner from Reese.

Not so good. The very first time I used this the tubing bent when the unit was fully extended. It isn't very strong. I works well, but you really have to treat this thing with kid gloves to keep from breaking it.50744

Just tried this out for the first time. It works amazingly well and is so simple. I'm used to getting out of my car several times before I can get close enough to connect the trailer, and many times I go too far (and put scratches in my bumper). Now I can get close enough to connect without getting out or bumping the trailer. Great product - someone was really thinking when they created this simple tool. Love it!12078

Good driver's aid! Have been looking for something to help make my empty trailer visible. The magnetic mounts are strong. The telecoping rods should give good height and the visibility when backing an emptry trailer. 664

Very happy with this product. I was going to spend $400. for a back up camera just to aid in the hooking up of my boat trailer, I am sure glad I found this on your web site.79427

Why didn't I think of this myself. Magnets are strong but they need to be placed on a flat level surface.38612

I bought the Two-Balls-and-Sticks Hitch Aligner as the lot where I store my boat is not paved. It is impossible for me to move my boat and trailer manuallyl myself. Since I normally go fishing alone I have been getting in and out of my truck numerous times to get the ball and receiver aligned. NOW!! with this great product I simply attach on piece to the hitch and one on the receiver and just back up until the balls align and meet...I then simply lower the receiver onto the hitch...it's great! The high visibilty balls even show up in the dark with your back up lights on so hitching to be on the water early in the mornings is a breeze. Well done...great product.18882

Didn't help on my hitch I was very disappointed with this tool and maybe my expecations were too high. These are exactly what they claimed to be and the mags are very strong. On my hitch set up, there was not a flat place to mount on either ball side or on trailer side. They proved completely useless to me when hook up at an angle instead of straight back. I bent one of the ball when I closed them unevenly. Overall, I would not recommend...1550

  • How Would a Two-Balls-and-Sticks Hitch Aligner # 53410 Work on a 5th Wheel Trailer
  • It really depends on what is in your line of sight when you are backing up and what metal surfaces are available. My best recommendation would be for you to hitch up your trailer to your tow vehicle and see what area is the easiest to view and then see if there is a metal surface on your trailer that is directly above a metal surface on your tow vehicle in that line of sight and then place one of the aligners from the Two-Balls-and-Sticks Hitch Aligner # 53410 in each spot.
