Extra room for supplies This hitch was a breeze to put together. Along with the anti-rattle lock, it provided for solid space to place some of the extras needed for travel when space is limited on the inside. I only with it was possible to run the wiring for the lights through the tubing so that it had a cleaner finish. 4256

Product was shipped and received faster than promised! Very minor assembly required. The instructions for assembly were extremely simple and all parts required were neatly packed in the box. Our product arrived in a timely manner...all parts were there...it went together easily. It was just what we expected, no surprises. I plan to use this to carry items that don't fit in my Tahoe when I attend outdoor art festivals. I am an artist and I fill my vehicle to the brim! The bin that holds my tent walls and roof fits perfectly on this carrier along with my box fans and an ice chest. This product works great with the hitch that I bought from etrailer. The ability for it to fold up is going to be very handy as I live in a cold climate area and our an does not fit in the garage if it is not folded up. This does come in two parts, but is easy to assemble and seems to be very sturdy. We often travel across the country and this is going to come in handy to help store some of our items outside the van freeing up room for the kids and animals inside. 17197

The order came within a week of ordering, very fast delivery. It was packed extemely well in the box so no damage occurred. I found it easy to put together and is of very sturdy construction. It fit on our Traverse perfectly, even when folded up it was well below the tail lights. The extra large cargo bag is of equally good contruction and fit the carrier to a tee. Cargo Carrier is exactly what I expected it to be. The only concern I have is the pin that is used to lock the carrier in place (folded or flat) is very loose. The spring loaded catch does not seem to hold the pin securely. This is a concern if I am driving and the carrier is folded - If I lose the pin, the carrier could slam down. It looks like i might just use a hitch pin.14122

I ordered the 24 x 60 folding Cargo Carrier, Extra Large Cargo Carrier Bag and Cargo Carrier Light Kit. I placed my order on a Saturday and elected the free shipping option. Even with free shipping, I received everything within 5 days. The Cargo Carrier was undamaged and seems very sturdy. Very easy to put together. It took me 20 minutes to add the light kit. The Cargo Bag is BIG and seems to be made out of good quality material. I installed the Cargo Carrier on my 1999 Jeep Grand Charokee. The folding arm caused the Cargo Carrier basket to sit 16 inch alway from the bumper. My only real complaint is that with the folding arm on the Cargo Carrier, the 4 wire flat connector on the Light Kit was too short to connect to my jeep. I had to purchase a 12 inch 4 wire extension. In the fold up position, I had plenty of space between my vehicle and the Cargo Carrier. The lights are a nice size and are very bright. I added reflector tape to the Cargo Carrier for added safety. My overall experience with Etrailer is very positive. I would buy from them again. 9870

Quality American product The only drawback is that it does not fold up on our 2009 Acura RDX (not enough clearance from hitch to hinge). That's OK, though: It would cost more to ship back the hinge and get an extender (not to mention the reduced capacity with an extension), so we've decided to simply go with the hinge. (Note: This carrier will *not* fit the Acura RDX without the hinge!) Advantage here is that the hinge raises the carrier about 6" higher.3100

Great Product Got this along with a Curt Class III hitch for use on a 2005 CR-V. Son & I had it assembled inside 30 minutes, along with the light kit. Great ordering experience and delivery. Good but could be better... My chief complaint is that it didn't come with reflective tape (I added that later). My other complaint is that the main hitch could fit a little more snug in a standard 2" hitch... Because it isn't a tight fit it allows the carrier to twist from side to side putting unnecessary twisting pressure on the bolts and the weld joints... I would suggest adding a couple of sleeve options to act as shims to snug up the fit to reduce the twist… Otherwise the cargo carrier did a great job.. 1666

Bad design This would be a very good carrier had it been a one piece unit. There is a right and left side that bolt together, and I this is not a secure setup if the load is heavy or especially is it is not balanced perfectly. The tilting design is VERY nice to have. That piece by itself is a good quality part, but the basket itself is not. If it is redesigned to be a one piece then I'd have to think it may be worth the money. 60 by 25 is too large for a two piece.1224

It would not be wise to modify the car with extra attachment points to the vehicle for stability or to add tie-down poles for the cargo.
