  • The Draw-Tite Ball Mount, # 4285, does not include a gusset welded between the shank and platform. Basically, it is not needed. This ball mount is constructed of solid steel. The shank is solid with the only hole in it for the hitch pin. It is welded to the platform which is also solid steel. All of this solid steel construction makes for a heavy ball mount.
