- The platform that the ball mounts to is 3 inches wide by 7/8 inches thick. The shank that s into the hitch is 2X2 inches square. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the ball platform is 3-5/16 inches. If the Thule rack you have is designed to clamp around the ball mount and has a maximum clamp of 2-5/8x2-5/8 inches, it should fit around this ball mount, but you need to measure your hitch.
