This 2" x 2" stainless steel lock is perfect for keeping any hitch accessory or ballmount locked securely to your hitch. The pick-proof screw-and-lock design gives you peace of mind while leaving your vehicle unattended. Multiple locks can be keyed alike to avoid the need for more than one key.
NOTE: This lock will not work with some factory 2" trailer hitches that have an outside width wider than 2-5/8, for example, newer Toyota Tacoma and Tundra.

Today we are going to show you part number 40107, a trailer hitch receiver lock. This trailer hitch receiver lock is constructed of all stainless steel and a brass cylinder on the inside. And we will go ahead and demonstrate how it works. It is pretty easy to use.
What you get is the lock here, and there is a weatherproof seal on the end. Just pop that off, take the key - and what you do is just hold the key in place. It kind of works like a screwdriver. And just take the other half of the rubber grip and just untwist it, and it comes apart. And you can install it in your hitch. To put it back together, just thread it together. Take the key, do a quarter- to half-turn, and the key comes out. And now your ball mount is secured in the hitch.
All right, we have our ball mount installed and we will go ahead and install the lock and pin. And, again, this lock and pin can be used for a ball mount, or a nice tube cover - or anything you want to keep secure, even some bicycle racks. And this pin is rated to pull anything you can put into the receiver hitch. And there you have it for part number 40107, the trailer hitch receiver lock, stainless steel, flush design.

This does NOT fit the 2" trailer hitch for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, so I can't rate it. 24261
Toyota factory hitches have very thick walls. You will need an RH5XL instead to accommodate the thick walled hitch.

I bought the stainless steel lock because I thought it would last longer. I purchased the SC500 because it came with a ramp and it folds up when not in use. I still need to purchase straps to hold the wheelchair down (250#) and a propane grill cover to keep it dry in bad weather.21033

Overall heavy duty build. and an unexpected improvement which hasn't yet appeared in the product description on the website: now there's no spring loaded button to fail. Instead the lock screws into place (rather than push in place) before engaging. It appears to be solid stainless steel, rather than chrome plated. Another great feature, you can get more than one of these locking pins keyed the same. And, best of all, it's made in Michigan, not in China! In this case, sometimes you get what you pay for.79991
