Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Today we are going to be installing hitch part number 90621 from Hidden Hitch on a 2007 Hyundai Tucson. This installation will also apply to Draw-Tite part number 36363. All right, we are underneath the rear of the vehicle, and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for the trailer hitch. The first thing we are going to need to do is to lower the exhaust to gain access to both frame rails. In order to do that, we need to remove the exhaust off of - there are three hangers that we are going to need to be removing it from. There are two here on the drivers side. You can see here: one and two. And on the passengers side, there is one here as well. And you can see here on the passengers side, as well, there is a tow hook, and the hitch is actually going to be using the two rearmost bolts as their attaching point. So in order to do that we are going to need to remove the tow hook.
And in order to do that, there are actually two, four - five bolts that need to be removed in order to get the tow hook off. The mounting location for the trailer hitch over here on the passengers side, we are going to remove this bolt, and this bolt as well. When trying to get the exhaust off the rubber hangers, it definitely helps to use some form of spray lubricant, like a WD-40. Spray down the studs really well it makes the removal go a lot easier. Before fully removing the third hanger, I would definitely recommend supporting the main exhaust tube here. I am using a basic tow strap that is going to sit underneath there, because once you remove it off of the third hanger, the exhaust will fall down and it could damage it if it is not supported properly.
With the exhaust lowered and all the bolts removed, we can go ahead and put the hitch up into position. We want to use the new bolts as well as the conical-tooth washers as the fasteners for the hitch. OK, and with the bolts in position, we can go ahead and torque them down now. You want to check with the instructions to verify the appropriate torque rating for each individual bolt. OK, and with the bolts torqued down, we just want to go ahead and put our exhaust back up on its hangers. This will conclude the installation of hitch part number 90621 on a 2007 Hyundai Tucson.

Done. Took about an hour. This was easy compared to the one I did on my charger. In that one you use existing tapped holes which after 4 Syracuse winters were rusted and had to be re tapped. This car had bolts to remove and replace which I had checked prior to ordering to be sure I could get them out. Came out easily and new bolts slid right in. I used your shipping box and a rope to support the exhaust. And I was able to get the right side in place prior to removing the rubber bushings that hold up the muffler so only removed the 2 on drivers side. The tailpipe held up the passenger side of hitch while I put in first bolt on driver side making it a one old man job. I just need to borrow a torque wrench from a neighbor to be sure it's tight and done.19406

Installed everything in under an hour. The only thing that took time was pulling the muffler from the rubber hangers. Everything lined up right and the wiring harness fit right also. What satisfied me most about my order is that they show you how to install everything before you even placed it. Great product and great site!17010
