Today on this 2005 Lexus ES330, we are going to install part number 36336 from Draw-Tite. This also applies to Hidden Hitch part number 90174. This is how the hitch looks on the vehicle and also we will give you some measurements to help you out in ing some accessories, such as a ball mount, bicycle rack, or cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 12-1/8 inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be about 5-1/2 inches. 0:29

Next we will go ahead and show you how it gets installed. The first thing you need to do is go ahead and remove this bracket for the exhaust. Let it fall down a little bit out of the way. And we are going to remove this tie-down bracket. When we put the hitch back up, the exhaust bracket will go back up as well. Now, on the driver side frame rail, there is a tie-down bracket as well and that will get removed. Some vehicles have an optional third weld nut right here. And this one has a sticker covering it. So what we need to do is go ahead and remove the sticker so we can use that fastener. 0:58

At this point, we can go ahead and start lifting the hitch in position. Now, you want to have an extra set of hands to help do this. And what we are going to do is just install the bolts with a conical tooth washer and hold it up in position. And we are going to leave everything loose so we can install the remaining fasteners. With all of the hardware installed now we can go ahead and snug everything down and then torque them down as specified in the instructions. With that our hitch is already installed and we are finished. And there you have it for part number 36336 from Draw-Tite.
