- Can I use Fifth Wheel/Goosneck Trailer Harness Part # 31156 for my Slide-In Camper Wiring
- The tail lights and marker lights should not run off the battery inside the camper. They should pull signal from the trailer connector.
If you have signal and proper functions at the 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle, then the Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck harness you ordered, part # 31156, should solve your problem. Make sure to use a circuit tester, like part # 3808, when you go to wire everything. The camper wiring may not be color code matched to the wiring harness you purchased.

- If your battery isolation relay is installed properly it will only draw from the main battery when it is reading current from the alternator or when vehicle key is in the ON position. When your vehicle is OFF it should only be drawing current from the auxiliary battery.
We do have a Two Battery Universal Isolator Kit, # 12023A-D, that will give you the proper current control to each battery.

- I went out into our warehouse and pulled a Fifth Wheel / Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Wiring Harness # 31156 to check the wiring placement of the wires and here is what I found:
On the male side with the clip part in the relative 12 o clock position the connector wires as follows:
11:00 yellow wire, left turn and blinker
1:00 brown wire, tail and running lights
3:00 red wire, 12 volt accessory (this is the port you will need for charging a battery)
5:00 green wire, right turn and brake
