Ask the Experts about this Curt Front Hitch
- Will Curt Front Mount Hitch Part # 31055 Fit the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Without Trimming
- I spoke with my contact at Curt, and they have not had a chance to test fit the front mount hitch on an SS model. - Is there a Video that Shows How to Perform the Fishwire Technique to Install a Trailer Hitch
- The CURT Front Mount Receiver, # 31055, does bolt to the vehicle frame rails but the bolts do not go all the way through each frame rail. Instead, like you have said, you will fishwire the hardware into the inside of each frame rail through access holes in the frame.
The fishwire technique is not as difficult as you might think. Even though I do not have a video showing the hitch being installed on a 2006 GMC Envoy, I can provide a link that explains and shows how to fishwire hardware. I have
