- Which Wiring Harness Fits a 2003 Ford Escape without Towing Package
- The Plug-N-Tow Wiring harness, part # 30445 will only work on a Ford Escape equipped with a tow package. For the Escape without the tow package, the T-1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118343 would be the correct fit.
The T-1 Harness would install inline using the existing connections between the factory wiring harness and the taillight assemblies. We have a video of this part being installed on a 2003 Escape that I have linked below.

- Why Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 30445, Is Not Working In A 2002 Ford Escape
- On your 2002 Ford Escape you do not need the additional relay. That is only for the 2008 and newer Ford Escape.
It sounds like you have the port, but do not have the tow package. Unplug the Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 30445, from your port on the vehicle and with a circuit tester check the vehicles port to see if you are getting current to all the pins in the port.
If you have current to all the pins then the Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 30445, would be the problem.
