- I've measured the outside diameter of both the inner and outer tube of the 5000 lbs Trailer Jack for A-Frame Couplers, part number 273800. The outside diameter of the larger outer tube is 2.20 inches, and the outside diameter of the smaller inner tube is 2.01 inches. The 5,000 lbs A-Frame Topwind Trailer Jack by Dutton-Lainson, part number DL22772 would come even closer to the measurements you mentioned. The inner tube measures exactly 2 inches outside diameter, and the outer measures exactly 2.

- Can the Atwood 5000 lb Trailer Jack Be Disassembled and the Inner Tube Be Reused as a Replacement
- The design of the jack will not allow the inner and outer tubes to come apart. The inner tube had a groove that rides in a detent stamped into the outer tube. Once the jack is fully extended, the end of that groove hits the detent and will go no further.
Any welding shop would be able to get the old jack removed and the new one welded in place without much trouble.
