Today on this 2011 Toyota Corolla, we are going to install part number 24814 from Draw-Tite. This will also apply to part number 60200 from Hidden Hitch. OK this is what the hitch looks like when it is installed on a vehicle. Next we will give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 3-3/4 inches and from the top of the receiver opening, down to the ground will be 12 inches. Now we will go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. We can go ahead and show you where the hitch is going to mount up to the car.
There are two threaded holes here and here on the frame. We are looking at the driving side. Now the passenger side is the exact same thing except the exhaust is close to it. What we will do first off is go ahead and clean off the holes and make sure there is no debris inside there so we can thread in the bolts easily. Get some spray lubricant and use a wire brush to help clear out the threads. And the wire brush part number is 814092. Since this is a newer car, it will be easy to work with. But the older the vehicle is, the more time you need to spend on this. Worst case scenario, you have to use a thread tap.
Our driver side is done. Let us repeat the same process over on the passenger side. Next we can go ahead and start installing the hitch. We will just hold the hitch up against the frame and start threading in the bolts. That will hold it for one side. Let us go over to the passenger side and do it one more time. And you will notice the hitch also has a cut out to go around the exhaust hanger.
You go ahead and install the remaining hardware. With all the hardware in place you go ahead and snug down the bolts then torque them down as specified in the instructions. Ok in a few easy steps out hitch is easily installed and there you have it for part number 24814 from Draw Tite.

Easiest installation ever, 15 mins. tops. Make sure the predrilled threads on the car are clean then bolt it on. No drilling, nothing to move. Solid, well fabricated unit, should work well for a bike rack or small trailer.30364

Highly recommended. This is the 2nd hitch I purchased from E-T. The trailer hitch for my Toyota was a perfect fit, just as advertized. The components were high quality and they all matched as a complte assembly. The directions on-line led me to purchase the easiest to install hitch. The packaging was secure and protected the components. Customer service was knowledgable and helpful. The only thing that could be better is the delivery. Installed the trailer hitch receiver, ball mount and hitch ball in less than 30 minutes all by myself! Hooked the right side of the hitch onto the muffler and set the left side onto the car jack, ratcheted in the four bolts and viola! I ordered this unit for my friends who have a 2008 Toyota Corolla. They traded in their van, and now they needed a hitch for their bike carrier on the Corolla. Draw-Tite, in my opinion, is one of a couple top of the line receiver hitch manufacturers. Based on my experience with Draw-Tite, in the past, I had no concerns ordering this hitch for my Toyota Corolla S. The fit and finish of this hitch is excellent. The welds look great and installing the hitch took me not much more then 15 mins. It is very easy to install, even without a helper, and everything lined up perfectly. With the Corolla S having the factory ground effect body moldings, on the rear bumper, I wondered how things would fit, and I can galdly say the hitch fits perfectly. A hitch like this hitch is probably the most practical and usable accessory you can add to a car. I don't plan to do a lot of towing, but I bought this so I could mount a bicycle carrier to my car, and I have no disappointments. My thanks to E-trailer for selling a great product, at a great price, fast shipping, and excellent follow-up, through the whole ordering and shipping process. I received order, payment, shipping, and delivery confirmations, via email, and if that wasn't enough, I also received an email asking me to confirm I did indeed receive my order. The hitch was as described and it was a fast and free shipping. The only gripe I have is that I had to punch out the stopper that is welded past the point of the pin hole for the ball mount receiver. Because of the length of Reese brand ball mount receiver was 1/2" longer and the hole on the ball mount receiver would not match with the hole on the hitch for the pin to be inserted for securing the attachment. One I punched out the stopper (which was very difficult) I could insert the ball mount receiver farther and line up the holes for the pin insertion. 10473

I purchased the trailer hitch especially for a bike rack as a Toyota corolla may have excellent mileage but does not have the cargo space. It took 30 minutes to install but I did stop for a phone call and a beer. I would send a picture but the fit is so perfect that you can't see it unless your on the ground. And yes, the bike rack from e-trailer is a perfect fit and of high quality. Worth the price.23928

Fit and finish are good. The weld bolts on our Toyota Corolla's frame were corroded, and needed to be cleaned up with an M12 1.25 tap before I could start the supplied bolts in them. Once that was done, the installation was a matter of minutes.23448
