I installed a swing tongue on my boat trailer. The instructions said that I needed to install safety chains behind the pivot point. I bought two of these chains, cut off ont hook off each and installed them with a 7/16" grade 8 bolt. Looks like they will work fine. The chains and hooks look like they are strong enough to do the job. Hopefully they will be rust resistant.26763
