Video Transcript for Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1995 Buick Le Sabre

Today on this 1995 Buick Le Sabre we are going to install part number 18172 from Tow Ready. On this vehicle, what is nice about the wire harness is it is run down one side, so all you have to do is pull back the cover and get to the wiring harness. What is nice about all the GM products is it is almost color for color match up. It is always a good idea to double check everything. We are going to need a ground to do that with, so just install a ground screw into the sheet metal right here. :24

The first thing we are going to want to check out is the running light circuit. That means we are going to hook up brown to brown, because brown on a four pole wiring harness is going to be running lights also. We will go ahead and put our quick splice on. The left turn on a four pole flat wiring harness is going to be yellow. So we will find yellow, the left turn signal right here. Go ahead and check our right turn signal, the green wire here is on the passenger side of the vehicle too, so it might be the same wire. It is always a good idea to check it to make sure, so we know it is our right turn signal. :59

It is going to be everything from this side which is really nice. What we are going to do next is go ahead and put a ground terminal on our white wire here and ground it to the ground screw we made earlier. All right we will bundle our wire loom up the best we can. With a few simple steps this is a pretty easy install. Put everything back together. This four pole flat will stay in the inside of the vehicle when it is not being used. When you need to use it you can pull it out and shut the trunk on it. The door seal is plenty thick so it will not hurt the wire. Shut the trunk and pull out what you need down to the trailer hitch. That pretty much finished our install of part number 18172 from Tow Ready.
