Thanks to etrailer.com for carrying accessories for hitches. The Curt trailer hitch support strap will transfer the torque load from the hitch receiver to the car's body and avoid possible hitch failure. The strap is well made with a well protected hook to avoid scratching the paint on the car. The attachment is simple and effective.29266

  • Using Curt Bike Rack Strap Part # 10850 to Help with Bike Rack Bounce on a 2010 Mazda 5
  • Although the Kuat Alpha has a 3 bike capacity, when it is used with a class I receiver such as the one on your Mazda, you should only place 2 bikes on it. This is not only due to the limited tongue weight capacity of the hitch, but also because of the increased leverage placed on the receiver. When loading the bikes on the rack, make sure the heaviest bike is placed closest to the vehicle. The Curt Bike Rack Strap you referenced, part # 18050 would be an excellent choice for providing some ex

  • Using Curt Bike Rack Strap Part # 10850 to support Bike Rack Bounce on a 2010 Altima Coupe
  • For using a stabilizer strap on your 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe with a Curt hitch and a Sportrack Super EZ platform # A30901LR I would recommend you run the hook end of the strap to the lid of your trunk and the other end I would loop around the upright mast of the # A30901LR above the ratcheting arms. I went and checked out one of our floor model # A30901LR and found that this would be the best possible area for the stabilizing strap.

  • Length of CURT Strap and Installation Location on a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
  • I spoke with my contact at CURT and he informed me that the CURT Bike Rack Strap # 18050 that you referenced is adjustable from 20 inches to 35 inches. The spoiler on your 2010 Dodge Caravan is not designed to handle any amount of weight on it so I would recommend not using an attachment point that puts any weight on the spoiler. As an alternate mounting location I would recommend you attach to the rack at a lower point on the rack and then run the strap to the lower portion of the lift gate

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2009 Toyota Camry LE
  • CURT requires the use of a stabilization strap to be in compliance with their warranty requirements. The idea is that the strap will help support a non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) to reduce some of the stress on a Class I, II and some Class III trailer hitches. The CURT hitch is still a good product and the strap is meant to help ensure good performance. Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, and Reese hitches do not have this requirement. These hitches undergo supplemental testing
