Curt Fifth Wheel - 16516
Curt's R5 roller will give your short bed truck the clearance it needs on tight turns while eliminating the need for lubrication maintenance. A 3-position height adjustment makes this hitch a great match for hauling more than one trailer and an auto-locking jaw mechanism gives this fifth wheel both ease of use and security.

- Recommendation for a 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for a Toyota Tundra Supercab with a 6.5 Foot Bed
- You will either need a slider hitch or a Sidewinder (see link) to pull a 5th wheel trailer with your Toyota Tundra Supercab, with a 6-1/2 foot bed.
For the 6-1/2 foot bed I would recommend a slider hitch and the Curt E5 16K Fifth Wheel Trailer hitch with R5 Roller, item # 16516 is a good choice. Along with this hitch you will need an installation kit for your truck. For the 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra 6-1/2 foot Box, except Crew Max, you will need the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, ite

- Determining if a 5th Wheel Trailer Can Be Towed with a 2006 Ford F-150 With a 5-1/2 Foot Bed
- It may be possible to install a standard fifth-wheel hitch and a Sidewinder with rotating turret in your pickup and have clearance for turning.
I cannot ensure that this option will work, you will have to measure and determine if there will be clearance so that the trailer loft does not make contact with the cab when making 90 degree turns. Our Sidewinder page (see link) gives directions and a formula on how to measure and determine whether there will be clearance.

- What Is Needed to Tow a 21 Ft. Fifth Wheel with a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 Short Bed
- The first thing you will need is an install kit. A fifth wheel install kit provides a set of brackets that attach to the truck frame under the truck bed and a set of rails that bolt through the bed to the brackets. The rails sit in the bed and the actual hitch is pinned to these rails.
The installation kit for your truck is part # RP30035 from Reese. I have added a link to the kit and the instructions below. See page 14 of the instructions for your particular vehicle.

- Will Curt E5 Fifth-Wheel Trailer Hitch Work to Pull a 36ft Jayco Trailer with a 2005 Ford F-250
- The Curt E5 fifth-wheel hitch # 16516 should work well on your 2005 Ford F-250, but you will need to make sure that the Jayco trailer weighs less than 16000 pounds loaded.
To mount this fifth-wheel in your truck, you would use rail installation kit # RP50082-58, which would put rails in your truck bed into which the fifth-wheel hitch would be installed.
I have included a link to the installation instructions for the rail kit and a demonstration video so you can get a good idea of how the r

- Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for a 2004 Ford F-350 Pulling a 2005 Challenger 5th Wheel Trailer
- The most economical setup for your 2004 Ford F-350 pulling a 2005 34 foot Challenger 5th wheel trailer is to use your gooseneck adapter and a gooseneck hitch.
I would go with the Hide-A-Goose Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit, # 9460-48, and use the gooseneck adapter you already have. This gooseneck hitch comes with the installation kit. The ball can be folded down and out of the way to allow you complete access to the floor of your bed. Just make sure that your gooseneck adapter

- Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch To Tow 32 Foot RV With 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed
- For your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed, I would recommend going with a 20K fifth-wheel hitch like the Curt Q20 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # C16536, to tow your 32ft RV. The reason I recommend a 20K is that the 20K hitches have more features. Also, if in the future you decide to tow a larger trailer, you will have the capacity to do so without having to get a new hitch.
To install the Curt # C16536, you will need to use Curt Custom Install Kit, part # C16420-204. This custom installation

This is a custom kit that will install in about half the time as a universal kit and will minimize drilling.

- Is a Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Needed for a 2007 Chevy Silverado with 6-1/2 Foot Bed
- On a truck with a short bed, even with an extended pin box you will most likely need a slider hitch to make tight turns without the trailer running into the truck cab. The Curt slider is going to give you 12 inches of travel for greater clearance when making tight turns.
The Curt slider, # 16516, is a good hitch with a 4-Way pivoting head and round tube slider. Make sure that the 16,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity and 4,000 pound pin weight capacity is enough for your trailer.

- Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Ford F-150
- On a short bed truck you will need to use a slider 5th wheel trailer hitch. There are many options available. First, you will need an installation kit for your 2011 Ford F-150.
There are universal kits and custom kits. I always recommend a custom kit because they are easier to install and require much less drilling so they take about half the time to install versus a universal kit. The custom kit for your truck is # RP50081-58. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
