- Superwinch s4000 Trailer Winch Powers Out but Will Not Power In
- This sounds like an electrical problem in the wiring. The reason it may only happen when trying to power back in is because it requires more power to pull in a load or just the cable. When more power is needed this is when ground problems normally show up.
The jumper cables, being heavy gauge wire, and the battery being the ideal ground, allows the winch to work properly. The issue is either in the red harness, a break or nick somewhere, or, more likely, the ground is not sufficient or there
