- Measurements for Adjustable RV Trailer Hitch 13703
- I have obtained the measurements you have requested
On the mounting brackets, the holes measure 7-1/2 inches in length and 2 inches in height (center of the hole to center).
From where the bracket attaches to the frame to the top of the receiver tube, it is 6-1/8 inches. You requested a height clearance measurement; however, with this measurement, you will be able to measure your own frame and where it would clear the ground.
From the back of the receiver tube to front of the receiver,

- Weld On Versus Bolt On Hitch Receiver for Use with Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers on RVs
- In my opinion you are going in the right direction with a frame mounted receiver. The only advantage to a weld on application is that, if welded properly, the attachment point, weld, will be stronger than the hitch or trailer frame steel and one of those two would have to fail before the weld would break.
Bolt on installations are easier to install and are rated for the same capacities as most of the weld on models, and many of the hitches offer both options. For bike racks and cargo carrier

- Can Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 Be Mounted on a Pop-Up for a Bike Rack
- The hitch would fit and successfully bolt or weld to your pop up trailer (welding should be done by a qualified professional). However, you will want to check the trailer owners manual or the manufacturer to determine if a hitch can be mounted to it for a bike rack. Only certain bike racks are rated for use behind a trailer and I have linked them for you.
If you find you can use the hitch, I have included a link to the installation details for you. CURT does require the use of stabilization

- Using Adjustable Width Hitch, Part # 13703 to Mount Bike Rack on Rear of Trailer
- Using this hitch for a bike rack will present a few obstacles. First of all, it sounds as if you have a bike rack for a 1-1/4 inch receiver. In order to use this rack with the hitch, you would need to use an adapter like part # 80300 to convert the 2 inch receiver on the hitch to a 1-1/4 inch for the bike rack. The good news is that using the adapter will gain you approximately 7 more inches of clearance to get past the rear of the trailer. The bad news is that using the adapter lowers the hitch

- Can the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part # 13703 be Mounted Upside-Down
- According to my contacts at Curt Manufacturing, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 13703 can be mounted above the frame (assuming that their is clearance). This being said, the receiver section should be mounted so that the safety chain holes are at the bottom, closest to the ground.

- The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 13703, can be bolted or welded to the frame of the trailer, as long as the trailer frame rails are between 22 and 72 inches apart. You would also need to drill holes through the cross tubing of the hitch to attach it to the brackets.

- The way the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13703, mounts to an I-Beam frame is that the top bracket on either side of the hitch attaches to the middle, vertical part of the frame. - Can the CURT Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver Support a Cargo Trailer and Honda Goldwing
- First, in many states, it is illegal to tow a trailer behind another trailer, so you will need to check the laws in the area you will be traveling. It can be dangerous to tow a trailer behind another trailer because it increases the chance of jack knifing and increases the amount of momentum making braking more difficult.
