Today we are going to install part number 13465 from Curt. We are going to install this on a 2007 Chrysler 300c. To begin our install, we have to lower our exhaust out of the way. We actually have to lower it down pretty good, a pretty far distance. Basically we are going to remove this hanger here, we are going to unbolt it here. We will unbolt this hanger also. Now on the back here, we will need to undo this rubber hanger here too. This whole exhaust system will be resting basically on this point right here. So it may be a good idea to throw a strap around the exhaust for safety purposes to it keep it from really falling down. It looks like we have plenty of clearance to do our work here so we do not have to undo that last strap, our last hanger, so we should be in good shape.

Now on this side it does not have a flexible joint like it has on the driver side. So again we will have to take apart this one to get the access we need. Also it might be a good idea to some way to prop the exhaust over to the side a little bit. Since we got it down a couple inches and to help we can move it over an inch also. Now we have plenty of working room to install the hitch. Next we are going to start fish wiring our hardware inside the frame, it is not too bad. Basically your kit does come with a wire pull. Basically what we are going to do is go ahead and thread it through the hole. We are going to pull the bolt through first and then out our access hole right here. Just thread it through like so.

Next we are going to slide on our plate. Then we are going to thread on our bolt to the leader and then use it head first and pop it right in there. Just pull it right through. Just kind of shake it and vibrate it and pull it on through. Now on the passenger side we will have to do this twice. Again same thing applies for the hole we want to pull the bolt through and out the access hole. Lets go ahead and install our hitch. We will use one side to go ahead and sit on top of the muffler and we will use that to prop it and then we will install the drivers side. We will go ahead and run a bolt up in here. In some of the newer vehicles, we will not have to spend too much time cleaning out the threads. This one is relatively in tact so basically what we are going to do is spray down the bolts with some 10-W40 and really torque it down. Now if there is a lot of crud or corrosion up there, you definitely want to clean it out. Probably leave the hitch off first and then take the time to clean out the holes. Once we have our bolts tightened, we can go ahead and reinstall the exhaust and put it back up on the hangers. With your exhaust reinstalled, your vehicle is ready to go and that concludes our install of part number 13645 from Curt.
