Alright, today on this 2010 Chrysler Town and Country we are going to install part number 13364 from Curt. Alright the first step involved in installing this hitch is we have to lower the exhaust and get it out of our way so we have access to the passenger side frame rail. So what we are going to do is lower the exhaust by taking out the bolt on the hanger right here. And also farther up the vehicle, past up the rear axle, we are going to undo this bracket right here. Alright now you can see we have more room to work with here. 0:40
Now I will go ahead and show you attaching points on the vehicle. The attaching points that we are going to show you on the driver side is a little easier to see. We are going to use all three of these bolts right here. When you loosen the bumper brackets, this bumper right here, the structure is actually going to come down so the brackets are going to point up into the frame to get them out of alignment. So what we are going to do is just a simple object like this roll of tape. We are going to just wedge it in there to hold the bumper in place. At this point we can go ahead and loosen the bolt up. Take them out. 1:17
Alright, at this point we can go ahead and install the hitch on the vehicle. It is also a good idea to have an extra set of hands in this process to lift everything in position, too. Once you get the bolts installed, take a second to center the hitch on the frame. Then, go ahead and snug them down. Once we have our bolts snugged down, go ahead and torque them down as specified in the instructions. The next thing that we need to do is reattach our exhaust. Now, the hitch covers up the original hole in the frame for the exhaust hanger. So, the kit comes with an extra nut and bolt assembly to put everything together with. With our exhaust centered and back in place there, now we will go to the forward hanger and reinstall that with the factory hardware. With the exhaust done, that will finish the install of part number 13364 from Curt. From the top of the hitch opening down to the ground on this particular vehicle is 12-1/2 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper is about 5-1/2 inches on this particular vehicle.
