Today we are going to be working on a 2010 Toyota Camry. We are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 12343. Here are a couple of measurements for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost point of your bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12 inches. Now let us go ahead and start our installation. 0:26
Before we can begin installation, there are a couple of brackets that we are going to have to remove. We have a bumper structure bracket that will have to be removed. This will be removed and not put back on the vehicle as the hitch will take its place. Then we are also going to lower our exhaust by removing these three mounting bolts. So before I do that, I want to go ahead and support my exhaust so that it cannot fall too far. Let us go do the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. We are going to use a 1/2 inch nylon tube brush, part number 814092, to clean the threads out thoroughly before installing your new hardware. Take one of your new bolts. Make sure it is going to thread in smoothly for ease of installation of your new hitch. Now I am going to go over and clean out the hole on the passenger side the same way. 1:29
We are ready to go ahead and install our new hitch. Until I get all of my new bolts in place, I am just going to go finger tight in case we need to move the hitch around a little bit. We are using bolts and conical tooth washers that are provided in the installation kit. The teeth on the conical tooth washer will face the hitch when installing. That completes the driver side. Now I am going to go ahead and tighten up the passenger side. You will notice that I put one of the side bolts in first. This will give me the opportunity then to get my exhaust hanger in position. Line up my bolt holes. OK, now that I have all of my fasteners installed, I am just going to go through and run them down. Now I am going to go repeat the same process on the passenger side. Now that we have everything run down, we can go ahead and torque all of our fasteners to specifications. That completes torquing to specification on the driver side. Now I am going to go repeat the same process on the passenger side. We can go ahead and remove our precautionary hanger. And that completes the installation of Curt hitch part number 12343 on a 2010 Toyota Camry.

Havent' installed yet, but product arrived well packed, tightly wrapped, with all hardware required and clear, printed instructions on installation. TWO MAN JOB! Hitch went on just as described, but definitely NOT a one man job. Prior to purchase I was having a hard time finding info anywhere online about installation on '07 Camry with DUAL EXHAUST. Bought hitch anyway, and can verify that it DOES WORK with dual exhaust setup. Exhaust system was well enough supported that we did not need to use additional support after removing bolts. Be sure hitch brackets are sandwiched BETWEEN frame and exhaust brackets when installing. Excellent design of hitch ensures there is minimum clearance between bottom of bumper and top of hitch, so you get maximum road clearance. Have not pulled anything with it yet, but design looks really SOLID with four bolts in each the two brackets. 20713

Took longer to install. The hitch quality is wonderful. But the wires for the lights had to be run along the inside of the car to the battery. We assumed that would not have been the manner of hook up.3710

Install of the #12343 Hitch When I ordered the hitch I was unsure of the product and the stated install time, some companies will say anything to "sell the product". I received the hitch a lot sooner than I expected and the install went extremely smooth and I easily installed it under the time given. I have been a metal worker/welder most of my working life and the hitch is well built and looks good, I couldn't be happier. I am sick of Chinese junk, I buy American made when I can and I love the "made in the USA" label. Good job guys! Jerry S.3528
