Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness by Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese
Can be used with 5-pole, 6-pole or 7-pole adapters.
Tech Tip: It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.
Note: This kit fills in the missing parts of a complete factory tow package. The plug beneath the dashboard will be located above the brake pedal, farther back on the far left side. There will be a couple of connections beneath the dashboard, but the one that is close to the brake pedal and furthest to the outside is the correct connector. This connector may have blue tape wrapped around it, although not in every vehicle.

Today on this 2007 Honda Element we are going to install part number 118465 from Tow Ready. This is a T-One wiring harness and what this harness basically does is fill in the missing parts of the factory tow package. First thing we are going to do is find the port underneath the dash where part of the harness plugs into. It is a two piece kit. One piece gos in the front of the vehicle with the modulite box itself and the other half plugs into the back of the vehicle.
The instruction says located above the brake pedal looks like it but actually you want to go back farther back to the far left side, there are a couple of connections but you will see one that is close to the brake pedal, you want that one, you want to go to the one that is furthest to the outside. Sometimes it will have blue tape wrapped around it and sometimes it will not. The T-One will only plug in to one spot there. And you want to make sure you have your fuses that are installed with the harness. Those are all good so what is next is to find a spot for the modulite box and it looks like there is a nice little spot right here. And we will pull off the adhesive and attach it into place.
For the second half of the harness we are going to need to get to the back of the vehicle, so we will put up both back doors. Our port is going to be located right here next to the spare tire, its got this blue tape wrapped around it. And you can take the cap off this, we are going to take the tape off, it latches right here, push it down and it pops right off. And simply plug in the new half, and until it snaps together. And that pretty much concludes our install. What happens is the 4-pull harness will actually stay in the spare tire area when you are not using it. And we you do use it simply just open the spare tire just to get to it, put the lid back down. Then you can shut your tailgate and pull the harness out, down to the trailer hitch. And you can go ahead and simply shut the door on it, just stay away from the latch. Then actually pull out what you need to get down to your trailer. And with that it finishes our install of part number 118465 from Tow Ready.

The plug is above the brake; next to the outside wall; wrapped with blue tape; very easy to find. The module box is attached behind the brake on the front wall; no problem. In the rear the wire is very easy to find. No problem31254

Easy, easy, easy! Hardest part was physically contorting myself to get up behind the dash to actually make the plug in connection. Next vehicle, I'm coming right back here to etrailer!28330

It works and it didn't take very long to install. My family and I can feel safer knowing that our travel trailer lights will signal our intentions to turn and brake while driving down the road. It's also nice to know the marker lights are working too. I chose three day shipping and it was here in three business days as expected. I would recommend this product for other owners of 2007 Honda Elements as well as etrailer.com. I couldn't have found it for this price elsewhere.23293

Quick easy install on my wife's 2010 Honda Element EX. No tools necessary. The rear assembly is a snap. It is located in the spare tire compartment and is visible as soon as you lift the spare tire cover. this part took me less than one minute. The front assembly is a bit more tricky. The fitting is under the steering wheel (driver's side, lol). Take off the inspection panel to access the fuses and other connections. The fitting is all the way to the left and is exposed and ready to snap the harness into place. The fitting is tough to get to, you will need a flashlight to see well and you can only get one hand up there. It is difficult to reach with the seat in the way. I had to kneel next to the car and reach in that way. this installation took 10 minutes from start to finish including the removal and replacement of the inspection panel This is a bit different from the other wiring harnesses I have installed in the past with two parts, but after installation I hooked up my small trailer and it worked perfectly with lights, brake lights, and blinkers. I also ordered the 4 to 7 pin adapter to haul a popup. I hope you find this review helpful. Good luck!21190

Always try twice. I attempted to connect to a green connector that was too big the first time and figured I had the wrong product, so looked at other years and then again at the picture directions. Thank you for picture directions that say "not the green one." ON my second (really third) attempt the under dash connector clicked in perfectly and I'm betting it works as well when I hook the trailer back up. Great company, great product. Thanks, -jason21156

I ordered the 87506 hitch along with this wiring kit for my 2010 Honda Element. Shipping was quick and the video on the page shows how simple it is to install. Two parts - one in the rear - plugs into a port near the spare tire in seconds. The part in the front, left wall at the driver's feet is a bit tougher to install. It's easy to find the actual connector (mine had blue tape) - but it's a bit awkward to bend your body around from outside the door to actually plug it in. Other than that, it only took a few minutes to find, get into posution and click the connection. My Element had a metal bracket right near it that looked like it was made for it - perfect size! Save a chuck of money by installing it yourself. eTrailer offers the entire package - right parts, great price, free shipping and videos / pictures to help you do the install. You can't ask for more than that! Nice job eTrailer.18515

Element SC owners: Very easy to install, but Watch the Video! Made the mistake of finding the wrong 10-pin and calling to question the thing, but customer service put me back on track, and recommended the video, which helped a lot, the correct 10 pin is buried on the far left of the console in my SC, and then the whole shebang took about 5 minutes to install. Easy! Going to drill and caulk a hole for the wiring, so I don't have to ghetto drape the harness out the window. Thank you!!16480

I have a 2009 Honda Element. It was very easy to install and works great! It was a little tough finding where to plug it in underneath the steering column...it's way back to the left, but it's definitely there.13838

Product arrived very quickly after ordering. The problem with installation was my own fault for not looking for the correct plug to hook to. I had made a phone call and they helped me right away, which made for a quick installation. I have not had a chance to test it yet.12840

Nothing could have been easier. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The most difficult thing was getting my 6 foot frame under the dash, so I could reach the connector. Overall, the value and performance of the product has been excellent.12038

The video and feedback on your website alerted me that the front connector was not going to be easy to find, it was not too bad, but I have never had my head so far under a dashboard. Made the hook-ups in 10 minutes or so & checked with my test light...working perfectly! Signal was very bright on my tester...tells me it must have a good ground.....right?10798

10 Minute Super Easy. So easy to install on my 2010 Honda Element. The hardest part was to locate the plug under the dash. It's way back and hidden, but it is there. The Etrailer installation video was great.3448

Easy to Install Very complete product. I would add to the instructions to push down on the tab on the rear port when removing the cap. Also, I cut the rear harness wire so I could run it through a groument/plug leading from the spare tire well. Soldered the wires and used heat shrink tubing for a nicer install than draping the wire over the tailgate. 2469

Easy to install! Very easy to install on my Honda Element. One plug in under dash and one plug in at the spare tire compartment. No other wires to run. Just checked the lights on my trailer and all okay. Have not used it for any amount of time, so can't comment on that.2400
