Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness by Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese
Can be used with 5-pole, 6-pole or 7-pole adapters.
Installation: Connection points are located behind the vehicle taillights. The 4-pole trailer connector will be stowed under the vehicle close to the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket is recommended.
Tech Tip: It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.

Today we will be working on a 2011 GMC Acadia, installing Tow Ready T-One connector part number 118451. We will start by accessing the rear cargo area of the vehicle. There are two fastening points for the tail light lens that needs to be removed. We are going to do that now. We will pop the driver side tail light lens out, you can see the manufacturers connector. It may be necessary to use a small screwdriver. We are going to pry up on the locking tab and disconnect the wire. We want to do it gently to make sure we do not break the tab. :42
We will get out our new Tow Ready connector and feed it down in between the outer trim of the vehicle and the sheet metal of the inside. This is going to come out by the exhaust, underneath the vehicle. We will also feed down the connection point for the passenger side taillight lens. With this model vehicle, the tolerancers are so tight between the outside part of the vehicle and the inside part of the body, that I am using an air tube to help fish the wires down below. 1:14
Any piece of flexible wire or tubing is acceptable, we just need something that will help assist us so we can pull our wires out the bottom. You can see the air tube coming out the bottom here, go ahead and pull our wires through. You can see that all we have remaining is our yellow and brown lead for the driver side tail light and our ground wire. We are going to make our ground attachment now. Now that we have our ground connected, we are going to take our manufacturer side of the harness and our new Tow Ready connector and plug them together securely, making sure the locking tab goes into place. We will make the other end of the connection into our tail light, and then reinstall the taillight. We will move over and remove the passenger tail light lens now, repeating the same process as removing the driver side tail light. 2:20
Now we need to route our 4-pole plug to our hitch, and our green wire to the passenger side tail light. We are going to do our best to stay away from the heat of the exhaust and any pinch points or moving objects. Now that we have your right side connection over here where we came down on the driver side, we are going to go up on the passenger side. I have already ran my tubing over, I am going to tape it to it and pull it up. Now that we have the passenger side plug routed up into the fender, lets go back up top and pull it through and make our connection to the passenger rear taillight. We will take our new Tow Ready connector, plug it in with the manufacturers harness firmly together so the locking tab goes into place. We will take the other end and make our connection to the tail light. Then we can reinstall the passenger side rear tail light. This will be reinstalled the same way we did the drivers side. 3:30
Now that we have made all our connection points we are going to go back and make sure all the wiring is tucked up and tied off as necessary. Now that we have our wire run and secured we can cut off the ends of our zip ties. That will complete the installation of the Tow Ready T-One connector 118451 on a 2011 GMC Acadia.

This wiring harness was super easy to install. I watched the instructional video 2 days before I received the item and installed it from memory it was so simple. Took me about half an hour. Most difficult part was fishing the wires through the body and over the bumper, but not a big deal. I did not put a protective sheathing around the wires, so hopefully it holds up. All in all I am happy with the product- it really is plug and play so to speak.24659

I bought the T-One Vehicle Wring harness for my 2009 GMC Acadia. Installation was a breeze and the product works perfectly. After I received my harness I spent a few minutes reading the instructions and getting familiar with the parts. Within 20 minutes I had the harness completely installed and was ready to hook up my trailer and roll. I used the trailer connector on my 2001 Acadia while pulling my motorcycle from NC to FL recently. The connector performed just as I thought it would even in the rain. I would suggest some type of case for the receptacle that attaches to the hitch. When the connector is not in use, the receptacle just hangs in the air (not pretty). Overall, installation was simple, trailer hook-up was easy, and I couldn't be happier.13169

Overall a great product and would definitely recommend. Plugs into existing tail lamps and no splicing required. Routing the wires with large plugs through a tight space between the tail light housing and down below the vehicle was a pain though! Only reason I give it 4 out of 5. Bill6206

2008 GMC Acadia Hitch and Harness I ordered a hitch for my 2008 GMC Acadia and harness kit.
