Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness by Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese
Installation: Connection points are located behind the vehicle taillights which are accessed from the outside of the vehicle. The 4-pole trailer connector will be stowed under the vehicle close to the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket is recommended.
Tech Tip: It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.

Today we are going to do an install with part number 118431 from Tow Ready. We are going to install this T-One Connector on a 2007 Kia Rondo. Our first couple steps are to open up the trunk and we need to remove both tail lights. This is the point right here where the T1 will make the connection. Now we will just take it apart so we can take the light off. We are going to go ahead and do this for the other side also. We will go ahead and make our connection point on the driver side then we will push the rest of this down through the opening and come out down towards the bottom. We will go ahead next and install our ground wire here. At this point we can actually reconnect our light on the drivers side.
From here we can run our red and green wire over to our passenger side. We will run it behind the bumper here and zip tie it to the hitch. Then we can pull it back out on the other side. You will also want to zip tie the module around this bar right here. Now we run the 4 pole over to the middle of the hitch also. The area around the exhaust we are going to take up the slack up and behind the tail light. Not like a bow string or anything just so we can have the wires away from the exhaust a few inches. Next we will go ahead and reconnect our T Connector here. We will take this and pull up our slack and put our light back on over on this side. Here is where we install the bracket which is part number 18144 we are going to just attach it to the bottom of the bumper here. It is pretty sturdy so we will just go ahead and attach it to the plastic here. It will be nice and neat and it will not keep them down any lower then the hitch. It has a friction bit so you can just push it right through. We will take the excess and zip tie it to the hitch to keep it up and out of the way. That completes our install of part number 118431 from Tow Ready on a 2007 Kia Rondo.

This is the second product I have purchased through etrailer.com. The first was a trailer hitch for my 2008 Kia Rondo. In both cases the order was shipped and received very quickly (within 5 days using the cheapest standard shipping). What I realy like is the instructional videos that walk you through the installation. If you google the product and etrailer, you can find the link quite easily (or I'm sure you can navigate there within the etrailer website. After watching the video I installed the trailer hitch without a hitch (pun intended). I have not yet installed this wiring harness, but did watch the video before purchasing to be sure it was something I could do on my own. For the do-it-yourselfer, etrailer has made life easy! 28322

Hitch for 2012 Kia Soul was the best deal I could find for a class I. Instructions said 30-40 minute install. It may have been if I could get the factory tow hook off the vehicle. Couldn't break the nuts free. Cost me $40 to take to local shop and have them install. Not e-trailer fault though. Otherwise, very good product. Perfect for pulling my little 4x6 trailer.27802

By all means do not try and cut into your wiring harness in order to get lights for your trailer! Buy this complete kit and 30 minutes after you begin the installation you will be glad you did! All parts snap together as well as the factory connectors. Just be sure and flip the electronic box over so that the green and red wires that go to the passenger side will be in the "down" position. If you don't, the harness is just a bit too short to reach the tail light plug and re-attach the light assembly. Save time, aggravation and possible electrical problems with this neat wiring kit. Tip: Order it with your hitch and save on shipping costs! 23767

Installation went fine. You need a small variety of tie-wraps to get the harness tucked-away nice and neat. But if you are the type of person to do the work of installing these types of things then you have a small stockpile of these anyways.12895

Good video on installation. Take the advice of one reviewer, "The green & red wire to the passenger lights is barely long enough. You can pick up needed extra length by installing the control module 180 degrees off of the etrailer video (green and red wires point down instead of up)2321"9179
