Today we are working on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Well be installing Tow Ready T-One connector part number 118425. Our first step is going to be accessing the rear cargo area of the vehicle; were going to need to remove the two push pins that hold in the tail lights. Theres two on the passengers side and two on the drivers side. Then go ahead and pop the tail light lens loose and were just going to let it sit here to the side while we go repeat the same process on the drivers side. On the drivers side with the tail light lens removed from the vehicle we can go ahead and remove the large connector.

Were then going to take our new Tow Ready connector, and this will be the yellow and brown wire and plug it in line with the manufacturers connector. Push it in place and reconnect the red locking tab. Well do the same behind the tail light. Okay with our connections made behind the drivers side, we are going to go ahead and take our wire and route it down between the bumper and the sheet metal. This will feed out below down by the frame of the vehicle.

Theres our four pole, and now we will go ahead and feed down the green and white wire, it is going to be routed over to our passengers side. With our wires fed underneath, we can go ahead and reinstall the tail light for the drivers side. Now we are going to get up underneath the vehicle, route our four pole over the hitch and our green wire over to the passengers side. I am going to follow the inside of the bumper here as it will give me plenty of places to take some zip ties and tie it off. Now that we are over here to the passengers side, just like we ran it down on the drivers side we will run it up on the passengers side between the bumper and the sheet metal of the vehicle.

You can see we have quite a bit more than what we will need so well just take some of that and tie it up here with our wires with a zip tie. Now before we go up behind the passenger tail light and make our connection, we need to go ahead and take our ground wire and ground it. Its the white wire with the ring terminal already on it, and we will just be attaching it with a self tapping screw. With our ground wire secure we can not go ahead and get behind the passengers tail light and make our connection. Just as we did on the drivers side, we will be removing the larger of the two plugs, and plug our new connector inline with the manufacturers wiring.

Then we could go ahead and reinstall our tail light. With the passengers side tail light reinstalled, that completes the installation of our new Tow Ready connector, part number 118425. .
