Today on this 2006 Chevrolet Equinox we are going to install part number 118391 from Tow Ready. This is going to install inside the vehicle so we need to open up the rear hatch and open up the storage compartment on the driver side. OK, we will remove the jack and down below you can see the port. So what we are going to do is take our T-connector and plug right into it. Alright, and now off a little bit forward from that point is a ground screw. We will go ahead and take our white wire and ground it to that. Then we will use the same factory nut and reattach. Alright, now down in the bottom, on the sheet metal, we will find a nice spot to attach our module to. 0:48

You can see our 4-pole will be stored in the jack storage compartment as well. And when you do need to use it, just pull out the cord. You can put the door back and pull it to the outside of your vehicle. When you shut the door, the wire will be pushed up against the door seal so it will not hurt anything. Just make sure you stay away from the latch. And then you can go ahead and pull out what you need to reach your trailer connector. When you are not using it of course keep it inside where it will not get corroded up in the winter time. Alright, and there you have it for part number 118391 from Tow Ready.
