Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness by Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese
Installation: Connection points are located under the trunk liner, close to the vehicle taillights. The 4-pole trailer connector will be stowed in the trunk when not in use.
Tech Tip: It is always a good idea to apply a small amount of grease to all electrical connections to help prevent corrosion.

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118375 on a 2002 Ford Taurus. We are inside the trunk area here, and we are going to go ahead and point out the mounting location for the wiring harness. The plugs for the harness are actually located behind the tail lights, behind the interior paneling here. To gain access to these plugs we need to remove this back threshold piece, which is held in with two thumbscrews, one on each side here, and then three push plugs as well. So when we go ahead and remove that piece, that will allow us to pull back the felt here and gain access to the plugs. So we are going to go ahead and do that now.
And with all the fasteners removed we just need to pull up on the threshold piece, because there are some push pins in here as well. And again, with that removed, we can easily pull back the felt now. And you can see, right there is the plug for our T-harness. So the next step is we want to go ahead and disconnect both plugs and plug our T-harness in line. And you can see here, there is a little clip, right here on the side, and we just want to pull that out and then pull the plug right out. And, with the plugs disconnected, we can go ahead and plug our T-harness in line. The plugs with the yellow and brown wire are going to go over on the drivers side. And then the plug with the green wire will go over to the passengers side.
As you can see, we have got quite a bit of loose wire here. You may want to take some zip-ties and go ahead and zip-tie the green wire along the wire harness here. We are actually going to leave the plug inside the trunk area. As you can see, we are just going to leave the harness left over here to the side, and then when you go to use it, you can go ahead and pull it out of the trunk area here and you can close the trunk onto the harness. It is not going to hurt anything the weatherstripping will keep it from being pinched. And then again, when it is not in use, it is nice and weather-safe inside the trunk here. And that will conclude the installation of wiring harness part number 118375 on a 2002 Ford Taurus.
