- Drilling is Needed to Install a CURT Trailer Hitch on a 2006 Mercedes C-230, Can It Handle a Boat
- According to the installation instructions for CURT Trailer Hitch, # 11824, which I have linked for you to view, you will need to drill a total of 4 holes to install the trailer hitch. Two holes will go through a cross member under the car and the other two in the bumper beam. (There is actually a 5th hole that will be drilled but it is for routing bolts for installation.)
