As long as your trailer and its contents weigh less than 2000 lbs and the tongue weight of the trailer is less than 200 lbs, this hitch will work just fine for you. • The hitch pin hole depth inside the hitch is different between Class I and Class II hitches. The manufacturers have done this to prevent Class II accessories, that are often heavier or can carry more, in Class I hitches to prevent them from being overloaded and damaging the hitch or vehicle. They weld a stop inside a Class I hitch so that Class II accessories with longer shanks cannot go all the way in.
