- Can 58 Inch Yakima CrossBars # Y00408 Be Substituted in the Roof Rack Kit for a 1999 Toyota Rav4
- You can use the longer, 58" Yakima cross bars # Y00409 on your 1999 Toyota Rav4, but you will need to be conscious of the additional length that will be coming off either side of your vehicle roof.
We do not offer the longer cross bars in a package and cannot make substitutions, so you would need to place an order for all the items individually. You would need two of the Q Clips # Y00632 and the # Y00124 roof rack feet in addition to the 58" bars.

- According to Yakima, the drip rails on that factory hard top are not structural. When used in this installation, the crossbars are intended for use with skis or snowboards only. The maximum allowable load would be 6 skis or 4 snowboards. When used within this limited scope, the drip rail mounts will not damage the rain gutter or drip rail. If used for any other purpose, they would most likely be damaged.
