  • Trailer Wiring Diagram for 4-Way, 5-way, 6-Way and 7-Way Trialer Connectors
  • A link to the trailer wiring you are asking about is provided, just scroll down the page to select the connector you have on your vehicle and trailer. The wires on the 5 pole flat are as follows White/ground, Brown/taillights, Yellow/left turn and stop, Green/right turn and stop and Blue/reverse lockout. The brown will run to both sides of the trailer and the yellow and green will only go to the respective side they are needed on. The Blue wire goes to the electric lockout solenoid...

  • Changing the Bulb in the Wesbar Tail Light Capsule
  • The older generations of the Wesbar submersible low-profile lights came with sealed light bulb capsules that are not replaceable. If your capsule is sealed, then your best option is to replace the lights with new lights like part # 403026 and # 403076. The new lights come with capsules that allow you to replace the bulbs. The bulbs used in these lights are # A1157B and # 193.

  • What are the Functions of Trailer Light Green, Yellow, and Brown Wires
  • Normally, the green wire on the right side carries right turn signal and brake light functions and the brown wire carries running light functions. On the left side, the yellow wire carries left turn and brake lights and the brown wire again carries the running lights. With only 2 wires, these lights must ground through the mounting studs. Make sure to wire in the new lights by function to the existing trailer wiring and not by color.

  • Replacement LED Taillights for 2003 Ranger Trail Boat Trailer
  • No problem, we're here to help! My research confirms that the # 271595 and # 271594 are the correct replacement lamps for your trailer. Your existing lamps should measure 3-1/2 inches tall, 7-1/2 inches long (at the longest point) and 3-1/4 inches deep. I've linked to a product demonstration video.

  • Wiring Adapter Recommendation to go From RV 7-Way to Toad 4-Way for Lighting
  • Sounds like you are asking how to hook up the magnetic tow bar wiring you have to your RV that has a 7-way flat RV connector. Your RV having separate turn signals from stoplights will not be an issue. The 7-way on your RV will already have the turn signal circuits converted to combined so that it matches your tow bar wiring. If you have a 7-way flat connector on your tow vehicle you would want the part # 787196. If your lights have a 4-way round you would need part # HM47043 instead.

  • LED Wesbar Wrap-Around Tail Light Recommendation for a 1998 Ranger Trail Trailer
  • You are going to want the Wesbar 8-Function LED Wrap-Around Tail light # 271595 for the left hand side of your trailer, and then for the right side you would want the Wesbar 7-Function LED Wrap-Around Tail Light # 271594. These lights are LED and have a very similar shape and design as the current lights you have on your trailer so these should work perfectly for you. The reason the left had side light has 8 functions and the right side has 7 functions is that the left-hand side light...

  • Replacement Taillight Recommendation for Lights With 102640 Capsules
  • The 102640 capsule is sealed permanently and would not allow you to replace the bulb of it. The 102640 that you have referenced is for the older generation light like the Wesbar Submersible Low Profile Trailer Tail Light, # 403026, or # 403076. For your situation, the best option is to replace the tail lights with the newer models that I just listed.

  • Troubleshooting Taillights with a 7-5-way Adapter on an Audi Q7
  • The issue you are having is not a 4-5 way adapter issue. If everything was working correctly using a 4-way on a 5-way connector would work just fine. I would first just try pulling the adapter out and re-installing it just to see if maybe something is making good contact. If that does not fix it you will need to use a circuit tester like our part # 3808 to test for voltage first at the back of the 7-way on your Audi Q7. If there is voltage going into the connector but not out of it you...

For your situation, the best option is to replace the tail lights with the newer models that I just listed. Unfortunately the capsules in the older units are sealed and the bulbs are not replaceable. Also, the replacement capsules are no longer available. The bulbs can be changed in the newer generation lights, # 403026 and # 403076,...

  • How to Make a Quick-Disconnect Tail Light Converter For A Motorcycle Trailer Pulled by a Jeep
  • There is a way for you to be able to pull your trailer with both your 2003 Honda Goldwing GL1800 and your 1997 Jeep Wrangler. The first thing that is going on between these two vehicles is that the trailer is wired for a separate turn signal system where the brake lights and blinkers are on separate bulbs, whereas your Wrangler is wired to pull a trailer that uses a combined circuit where the blinkers and brake lights are on the same bulb. There is a converter that will allow you to...

  • 4-Way Flat to 7-Way Tow Bar Wiring Recommendation

  • Towing Motorcycle Trailer with 5-Wire Lighting System with Vehicle with 5-Pole Connector
  • There are two good ways to accomplish this. You can convert the motorcycle trailer and the motorcycle to a combined system that uses the same light for the brake light and turn signals. The rear lamp assemblies would need to be replaced, and put a converter like part # 119178 on the motorcycle. This way, the trailer can easily be towed by the bike and the vehicle. The other method (which I would recommend) would involve constructing an adapter using the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light...

  • Connecting Harley Davidson 5 wire Harness to a 4 Flat Connector on a Trailer
  • I would recommend you cut off the 5-way on your motorcycle. Wire in a tail light converter kit part # HM48895. This will convert your separate circuit tail light signal of your motorcycle to a combined circuit like what your trailer has. On Harleys the turn signal wire circuit is separate from the brake light circuit so a converter like the # HM48895 is needed to convert the signal into a combined circuit like what your trailer has. You will need a circuit tester like our part # 3808...

  • Installation and Troubleshooting Wesbar Replacement Lights and Right Turn Signal Not Functioning
  • The Wesbar # 403026 is considered the left hand side, the drivers side, or roadside. The Wesbar # 403076 is for the right hand side, passengers side or curb side. It should not matter which one is installed the wiring to the replacement trailer light is not side dependent. The only difference between the two is that the left hand side # 403026 has a clear section under the light that also functions as a license plate illuminator. If the turn signal on the right hand side is not functioning...

  • How to Change Bulbs On Wesbar Submersible Tail Light # 403075
  • The panel on the bottom of the Wesbar Submersible Tail Light is removable to allow access to the bulbs. Simply place a screwdriver in between the tabs on either end of the panel and gently pry upward. The lamp is not sealed, but is considered submersible because it has drain holes that would allow the water to drain out. You would want to unplug your trailer wiring harness before submerging the lamp.
