I went out to the warehouse to measure a Replacement 3 inch Lunette Ring - 20K, # 16137. The overall width of the mounting surface is 2-13/16 inches. The mounting surface needs to be this size to fit in the 3 inch channel. All of the lunette rings that come with a channel have this small gap.
