There is a product that I used to attach my helmet camera to my streetbike helmet that is made by 3M that should work very well for you as long as the corrugation of your trailer is not too small. It is called Dual-Lock Fastening Strip and it basically works similar to velcro, but it has a much stronger hold and it would not vibrate at all. I checked into this with the manufacturer, and the battery in the camera portion of the # 04298 wireless backup camera system is actually replaceable. The battery is sealed inside the camera, but can be accessed. The new battery would need to be soldered into the assembly, so it is a bit more tricky to replace than the battery in the monitor but it is doable. How Does the Swift Hitch Portable Water Resistant Wireless Camera Mount to the Back of a Vehicle
The camera portion of the Swift Hitch, # SH02, has a magnetic base and will adhere to a metal surface. If the back of your RV is metal it will stick to it. The corrugations may not be the ideal mounting surface so what I would do is use screws to mount it to the back. The base on the camera has mounting holes. To get it mounted to a flat surface you can mount it to a metal plate and then mount the plate to the back of the RV.

The camera in the Swift Hitch, # 04928, is weather resistant but the camera is not completely sealed so it cannot be considered waterproof. For something to be considered waterproof it would have to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and still function. For rainy weather, though, the camera will work but I do recommend that once you are done using it, place the camera where it is out of the rain. I contacted our representative at Swift Hitch about the AC to DC Adapter, part # PP01. He informed me that it is likely that the fuse in the cable is blown and that the adapter is not causing the problem You will want to try plugging the cable into your 12 volt outlet in your vehicle to see if the light on the cable illuminates. If the light does not light up, more than likely the fuse is blown and would need to be replaced. You will need to replace it with a 2 amp fuse.

The camera will pick up over 15 feet of vision in the day time. The range is dependent on light and weather conditions and how you have the camera oriented.
