Rear Suspension Enhancement for a 2006 Toyota Highlander
Ideally you would use weight distribution but since Toyota says you cannot (consult the vehicle owners manual to confirm) then using some sort of suspension enhancement will work to take the sag out of the back of your 2006 Toyota Highlander. Will the SuperSprings Super Sway-Stops Work on Vehicles without Air Bags
As long as you have factory overload springs on your 2001 Ford F-250 then you can install the SuperSprings SuperSway-Stops Anti-Sway System # SSS-1 on your vehicle whether you have air bags or not. Rough Ride when Towing a Gooseneck Trailer with a Ford F-350 Dually 4x4
A 4-wheel drive suspension will be stiff like you have said but I do not think that going to a 2-wheel drive set up would be beneficial because of the way the suspension travels on larger dually trucks. For a smoother ride you can try to increase the pin weight by moving more weight forward on the trailer. It sounds like there is not enough pin or tongue weight so it does not compress the suspension enough. Be sure to stay within the payload limits of the truck when increasing the pin weight.
