SportRack Bike Racks SportRack Cargo Carriers

SportRack

SportRack was originally founded in Canada as a manufacturer of ski racks for the automotive industry. They eventually entered the world of bike racks using the same motto as they did when creating ski racks: easy-on, easy-off. SportRack racks are simple to use and versatile (most can be used on 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches).

  • Offers bike racks in hitch and spare tire mounted
  • Special lock created just for SportRack racks with built-in anti-rattle
  • Racks with locking knobs eliminate need for cable lock to prevent theft when bikes are on rack

Expert Answers about SportRack

  • Setting Up SportRack Short Roof Adapter for a SportRack Roof Rack
  • The short roof adapter # SR1116 is not needed for the 2011 Hyundai Sonata. When I run the vehicle through our fit guide the SportRack roof rack that comes up is # SR1002 and the adapter is not listed as required or even recommended. We just have a note that states that it may be needed. With this roof rack installed the crossbars will be 26 inches apart on center which is more than enough to not have to use the adapter. But the reason that it is not fitting is actually because you...

  • Roof Cargo Basket and Net Recommendation for a 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser with Sportrack Roof Rack
  • The most popular roof basket we offer that would fit the Sportrack Roof Rack part # SR1002 you have installed on your 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser is the Rola part # 59504. Then for a stretchable cargo net we have the part # 7330. This net measures 30 inches wide by 48 inches long. This will certainly cost less than a roof box and would allow for better fuel mileage as well. Only downside is that your cargo would be exposed to the elements.

  • Replacement Locks, Keys & Mounting Hardware for Karrite Voyager Rooftop Cargo Box
  • Your Kar-Rite cargo box can use Replacement Locks and Keys Kit # SR03807 from SportRack. Thank you for the photo of the box underside showing it's mounting straps. We have never seen a cargo box that used straps for attachment so I expect this was possibly a home-brew modification. We suggest using replacement mounting kit # TH05820. If you need to drill new holes to match the new hardware you can use a silicone sealant like # LT37467 to seal up any extra openings in the bottom of the box.

  • Roof Rack Recommendations for 2016 Hyundai Tucson
  • Thank you for the photo of your 2016 Hyundai Tucson. We can certainly help you choose a roof rack. The aftermarket racks made for your Tucson are designed for the models that have flush mounted rails that run front to back on the roof. The most cost-effective option is Thule's square bar Podium system made up of parts # THLB50, # TH460 and # THKIT4029. Square bar racks offer broad compatibility with rack-mount accessory carriers like kayak racks. For the quietest type of roof rack,...

  • Replacement Key Recommendation for Karrite Cargo Box with 108 on Lock Core
  • Most likely you will need the # THKEYN108 for a replacement key. Since we have never heard of Karrite cores starting with MM it is most likely that you have the N108 lock core. The N series of Thule keys have been proven to work as replacements for Karrite cargo boxes like what you have.

  • Replacement Key for a Karrite Roof Mount Cargo Box with Lock 2874
  • For your Karrite cargo box and lock 2874 you will need replacement key # THKEYN2874. One tip I can offer is that sometimes the newer keys need a little help seating all the way into the older locks. If you can't get the new key to seat all of the way to be able to turn the lock then tapping it in with a mallet should persuade it to seat all of the way. You should only have to do this once.

  • Installation of SportRack Frontier Roof Rack on 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon with Factory Roof Rack
  • To install the SportRack Frontier Roof Rack # SR1009 on your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon with factory roof rack you will not want to remove the existing crossbars. You will want to keep the factory crossbars on your Outback and rotate them to the position where they function as raised side rails, as shown in your photo. The SportRack # SR1009 will then clamp around the factory crossbar on each side. I have attached a review video of these crossbars for you. The video shows the installation...

  • Recommended Placement of Karrite Explorer Cargo Box on Honda 2007 CRV with Factory Rack
  • Thank you for the photo of your Karrite rooftop cargo box that you are installing on your 2007 Honda CRV with factory roof rack. Since your factory roof rack cannot be repositioned you'll simply do as you suggested and mount the box centered over the crossbars and drill holes as appropriate to allow the mounting hardware to fit. The channels in the bottom of the box are a convenience but you do not have to use those points on the bars if a better fit can be had by shifting the box slightly...

  • Sportrack Roof Rack SR1020 Recommendation for 2014 Viking 2105st
  • Your trailer does not have round edges or corners so the Sportrack roof rack part # SR1020 would fit and work well. This rack comes with rubber seals that will prevent water from entering the roof of your trailer as well. When installed properly this rack would not cause the roof of your trailer to leak.

  • The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1002 is a great choice in a cost-effective square bar roof rack system for your 2012 Nissan Sentra 4-Door Special Edition with a sunroof. I have included links for you that will show you all bike and kayaks carriers that are compatible with these square roof rack crossbars. On each page you'll find filters that let...

  • Will a Childrens Bike Fit a Platform Style Hitch Bike Rack
  • On the SportRack Crest platform 2 bike rack # SR2910, your Granddaughters frame is most likely too short and wouldn't be a good fit per my contact at SportRack. I recommend going with the Swagman XTC-2 bike platform carrier # S64670 because the wheel hoops are adjustable in and out to fit the length and works great with children's bikes. It will also fit 1-1/4 and 2-inch trailer hitches and accommodate wheels up to 2-1/2 inches wide. Take a look at one of our customers pictures with...

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2008 Palomino Yearling Tent Trailer
  • Since the outside edge of the roof of your camper has what looks like a trim piece around it I would recommend the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack # S80510 that would attach to the top of the pop-up and wouldn't need to go over the edge at all. It can be installed to the inside of the trim piece and would work well for you. I would recommend you go with a spread between the bars of around 30 inches as that is what Swagman recommends as the minimum to use and would work well with bike racks...

  • Replacement Pads for SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1002 on 2010 Honda Fit
  • The replacement foot pads for your SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack, # SR1002, are part # SR05013800000. After forwarding your picture, I made a call to my contact at Thule so we could both take a look at this together. The pad should rest on the top of the vehicle so we suggest moving the top bracket for the load bar inward. I have noted this on your photo which should explain this clearly.

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2005 Mazda 6 with Raised Rails
  • Sportrack Roof Racks like the part # SR1009 for the most part work out well for people, but they aren't exactly the highest quality rack out there. So some people have difficulties installing them. They are designed as semi-custom fit so they fit some vehicles better than others. They might work well for you, or they might be a little bit tight or difficult to install. For a different rack that I know would work well on your vehicle I would go with the Thule Complete Crossroad Kit #...

As long as they are no greater than 4 inches in diameter, AND the spread between the bars is 24 inches to 34 inches, the box will fit.
