Custom Fit SportRack Roof Rack

SportRack Bike Racks SportRack Cargo Carriers

SportRack

SportRack was originally founded in Canada as a manufacturer of ski racks for the automotive industry. They eventually entered the world of bike racks using the same motto as they did when creating ski racks: easy-on, easy-off. SportRack racks are simple to use and versatile (most can be used on 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches).

  • Offers bike racks in hitch and spare tire mounted
  • Special lock created just for SportRack racks with built-in anti-rattle
  • Racks with locking knobs eliminate need for cable lock to prevent theft when bikes are on rack

  • Roof Rack Recommendation For Jayco Popup Camper
  • We have a couple of racks that may work for the top of your Jayco popup camper. I recommend the SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack, part # SR1020. This features telescoping crossbars that can be adjusted to lengths of 80, 83, or 86 inches. This rack has a weight capacity of 200 lbs. This will not fit trailer roofs with rounded or curved edges. Another roof rack you may want to check out is the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack, part # S80510. This system is not designed to be used with plastic...

  • Replacement Latch, Locks, and Keys for a Karrite Voyager Cargo Box
  • For the old Karrite Voyager cargo box you would use replacement latch # 03347. The replacement locks and keys, # SR03807, should also be the correct fit for the box. For the hinges, replacement parts are not available. If they are not moving freely then you may need to remove the hinges, inspect them for damage or to see if they are bent, give them a good cleaning, dry them completely, then use a house hold lubricant to assist in movement. Cargo box lids can kind of stick a bit even...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for Use Behind a Travel Trailer
  • Only certain bike racks can be used on the back of a travel trailer and I have included a link to them for you. The SportRack spare tire bike rack, # SR2813, is not rated for use behind a trailer. What I recommend is installing a trailer hitch on the trailer using # 13703. It fits box frames, C-Channel, and I-Beam frames. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. With this hitch installed you would need to use a stabilization strap, # 18050, with a bike rack....

  • Replacement Key for Karrite Explorer Cargo Box
  • If you can locate the key number on your existing locks (see photo), we might be able to obtain replacement keys. If the key number shown on your lock begins with the letter N, you can type THKEYNxxxx (with the x's representing the actual key number) into the search box on the home page of our website. If the key you are needing does not show up on the search, please reply with the number of the key you are needing. If it is available, I will have it added to the website for you.

  • Replacement Cradles for a Bell Bike Carrier
  • To determine if any of the cradles we have fit your Bell bike rack you will need to measure the diameter of the arms the cradles slide onto. A 1 inch diameter or 1-1/4 inch diameter is fairly common. If the carrier has a 1 inch diameter then you could potentially use # HR740-P or # 853-7887. For a 1-1/4 inch diameter you could potentially use # 05002900000, # 852-3005-002, or # HR750-P. None of these cradles have been tested on a Bell bike rack but if the arm diameter is a match then...

  • Replacement Key for a Sears X-Cargo Box and All Replacement Parts Available
  • We have replacement keys for your Sears X Cargo 20 series cargo carrier. In order to get the correct one you will need to know the key number of your current setup. If you do not have a key to get the part number off of, the lock on the cargo box should have a number engraved in it that you can use for the key number. Once you have the key number type into our search box the letters, THKEYN, followed by the 4 digits of your key number and the correct key will come up for you. For...

  • Roof Rack Options for a Pop Up Tent Trailer
  • You are correct, the Sportrack Tent Trailer Roof Rack, # SR1020, will not work if the trailer roof has rounded edges. What you need is a system that comes with tracks that mount to the top, flat part of the roof. Take a look at the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System, # Y01-120. The tracks with this system are 63 inches long. You also get 4 feet and 2 load bars. Make sure to check the trailer owners manual or with the trailer manufacturer to make sure that the trailer can be fitted with a roof...

  • How Can I Tow a Camper and Use a Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Together at the Same Time
  • If your hitch is a 2 inch hitch, the best option would be a dual-purpose ball mount, like Curt part # D210, that would provide a ball mount for the trailer coupler ball as well as a secondary tube for a 2 inch bike rack. With this, you should be able to use the SportRack 3 Bike Rack # SR2403 that you were looking at, or any other 2 inch hitch mounted bike rack. You must take extra caution though and keep a careful eye on the tongue weight of the trailer and the combined weight of the...

  • Must the Bow and Stern Tie Down Ropes be Used When Carrying a Kayak on a Subaru Outback
  • The J-Stacker Kayak Carrier, # SR5511, is one of our most popular kayak carriers and is designed to work on Thule square bars, round bars and most factor crossbars. This kayak carrier would be my recommendation for your Subaru Outback. It is required to tie down the bow and stern when carrying a kayak on top of a vehicle. I spoke with my contact at SportRack and found out that the ropes are made of a soft polypropylene material that should not damage the paint on your vehicle. These...

  • Replacement Mounting Straps Needed for Kar Rite Road Rider Cargo Box
  • I spoke with my contact at Thule and since the Kar Rite Road Rider is an older car top carrier, replacement parts specific to that carrier are no longer available but take a look at Replacement Mounting Straps with Buckle, # SR02918. This strap measures 1 inch x 40-3/4 inches. I recommend comparing this measurement to your current straps to determine if they will work for you.

  • Locking Hitch Pin Recommendation for Curt Bike Racks
  • Good news, I went out and grabbed the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers # SR0901 and one of the Curt Premium 4 Bike Racks part # C18064 that you also referenced to test the two and found that the hitch lock fits the threads of the Curt bike racks so the # SR0901 would work well as a locking hitch pin for the Curt bike racks.

  • Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 5th Wheel Trailer Roof
  • I am going to assume that the roof of your 5th wheel trailer does not have any type of roof rack on it. In that case you would need to either add one or use one of the carriers designed for a naked roof. The easiest way to go would be a carrier designed for a naked roof. The SportRack Standard Block Island, # SR5525, is a kit that will fit on a naked roof. With this kit, you would place the blocks on the roof, place the kayak on the blocks, and then the whole thing is held in place with...

  • Bike Rack Recommendations to Carry 2 Beach Cruisers on a 2011 Toyota Camry
  • We do have a few options that will allow you to carry your beach cruisers with your 2011 Toyota Camry. Since beach cruisers are usually heavier than other adult bikes, I would recommend using a hitch mounted bike rack like the SportRack Platform-Style Bike Rack, # SR2901. Using a hitch mounted bike rack is the safest way to carry bikes because the bikes and the bike rack will not contact your vehicle. The platform-style rack also makes it easy to load and unload heavy bikes. This bike rack...

  • Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota RAV4
  • If the backup camera on your 2011 Toyota RAV4 is mounted on the bumper and is not mounted on the spare tire or spare tire carrier, then you can use the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier, # TH963PRO. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view. Please note that near the end of the document there is a fit guide and it has some footnotes that pertain to your vehicle. The Sport Rack 3 Bike carrier # SR2813 is not compatible with the 2006 - 2014 Toyota RAV4.

  • Availability of Replacement Keys and Locks for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box
  • The SportRack replacement Locks you referenced, part # SR03807 are compatible with the SportRack Explorer Cargo Box. Without having the keys, the only way to open the box without damaging anything would be to have a locksmith pick it for you. Once the box is opened, the locks can easily be removed by removing the retaining nut from the barrel on the rear of the lock. The retaining nut would be slipped over the locking cam, which would then allow the lock to be pulled out of its mounting...

  • Correct Replacement Mounting Hardware for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box # SR7087
  • Yes, the replacement cargo box mounting hardware kit you ordered, part # SR05493, is the correct kit for the Explorer Series cargo box. My contact at SportRack confirmed this also. The key to whether these will fit your Jeep Patriot crossbars is the crossbar width. The u-bolts included in this kit are 4-inches wide. As long as your crossbars are not wider than 4-inches you should have no issue fitting the hardware to them. It may be necessary, as you noted, to drill new holes in...

  • To install the SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack # SR1020 you need to take a 1/8-inch drill bit and drill 1/8 inch holes into the roof of your camper for the 4 roof rack feet. Then install the rack feet padding to prevent scratches to your roof. Finally bolt the rack securely into place on your roof using the self tapping screws. Please note that this SportRack system requires the roof of the motor home not exceed 85-1/2-inches in width. This rack will not fit trailer roofs with rounded...

  • Availability of Replacement Latch for Old Sears X Cargo Box
  • Thule tells me that the latch you referenced is an acceptable replacement for newer models of the X Cargo. We have other customers who have used the # 03347 latch as a replacement on their X Cargo boxes (see photo), and it has worked just fine. Since your box is a little older, and appears to have used the metal latches, you might need to relocate the mounting holes for the latch, but other than that, the latch should work perfectly for you.

  • Recommendations on How to Safely Carry 12 Foot Jon Boat on Roof of 2013 Hyundai Tucson
  • I've spoken to my Thule (Thule owns SportRack) representative regarding carrying a small Jon boat on a vehicle roof rack. The concern with the SportRack # SR1009 roof rack you mentioned is its relatively low weight capacity and its short crossbars which would only leave 2 inches of crossbar on the each side of the boat, which wouldn't be sufficient to tie off the boat to the crossbar. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the SportRack roof rack. A better choice would be a Thule square...

  • Saddle Style Kayak Carrier for Hobie Pro Angler Kayak
  • First, I recommend checking the weight capacity of your vehicle's roof as well as the weight capacity of the crossbars on your roof. Most vehicle roofs do not have a very high weight capacity. This information will likely be located in your owner's manual. The weight capacity of a roof rack will vary by manufacturer as well as make and model of vehicle. I spoke with my contact at SportRack about using the Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # SR5512 for your Hobie Pro Angler. Though most saddle...

  • The biggest difference between the SportRack EZ Bike Rack part # SR2901LR and the SportRack Bike rack # SR2901 is the # SR2901LR has locking, ratcheting arms that make installing and removing bikes much easier. The # SR2901 uses tightening knobs that will take longer to install and remove bikes and are not locking to act as a theft deterrent. Both of these racks will add 22 inches to the overall length of your vehicle. To determine how high your bikes will be above the ground you will...
