Wiring Magnetic Tow Lights to a 6-way Round Connector on a RV
It sounds to me like your 6-Way connector has been wired for some alternate wiring situation, and that is most likely why the adapter does not work properly with the Magnetic lights. I would use a circuit tester, item #3808 if you need one, and check all of the functions in the 6-Way connector on the RV. Draw a diagram and label each circuit. To keep the u-bolt nuts of the # RM-061 from loosening, make sure you are using both nuts (the primary and the jamb nut) on both sides of the u-bolt. Wiring in the parking light diode # RM-690 is easy. All you have to do is locate the wire leading to the parking light bulb. Cut the wire and insert the diode in-line with the wiring. The IN side will be the part of the wire that leads to the front of the vehicle. The OUT side goes to the bulb. You will need to have the crossbar for support when using your Sterling tow bar so it cannot be taken out of the equation.
