First, what a lot of people do not know about LED lights is that if you are using them behind a red lens then the LED bulb needs to be red as well. Should Load Resistors be Grounded to the Vehicle Frame or an Existing Ground Wire
The ideal location to ground anything would be to the metal frame of the vehicle in the nearest corrosion free bare metal surface. However, if there is a ground wire near by you could try it out and see if it offers a sufficient ground. If you still get hyper flashing then a better ground location could be needed. Are Halogen Flood Lights as Bright as LED Flood Lights
The LED lights will be brighter than a comparable halogen bulb. LED lights are brighter in general and since the light is more focused it will have a higher Lumen output. The reason is that the same size halogen bulb puts out light in all directions and is then focused with a lens or reflector behind the bulb. As far as lighting up a wide area which is what a flood light does, a halogen will work better than an LED because the light is not as focused as it is with an LED.
