We do have some AC powered winches but the Master Lock Electric Trailer Winch, # 2953AT, is a DC powered winch so it cannot be plugged into an AC power outlet, even on a vehicle unless you do like you said and hardwire it. After speaking to my contact at Master Lock, I have found the alarm on the Master Lock Sentry Boat Trailer Anti-Theft Alarm System # 4840DATSEN resets itself 30 seconds after being activated. The alarm can be triggered if the trailer is disconnected from the tow vehicle or if the wires are cut. It will also detect when a light has been burned out.
