  • Availability of Disc-Style Padlocks that Can be Keyed Alike
  • Only the 3 locks in the 3-pack of locks, # 40122KA3PK, will be keyed alike. This set cannot be keyed alike to match other locks or lock sets. I have included a link to a video review of these locks for you. What you can do if you needed more than 3 locks keyed alike is to use part # DT40124KA. Just select how many you need in the quantity box and they will arrive all keyed alike.

  • The Diversi-Tech Coupler Lock, part # DT25013KA, will fit the standard coupler type with a 1-7/8 inch, 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch ball size or the collar lock type that is more pointed at the end. If your coupler has a large lip around the outside where the lock would attach then you will need to measure the width of the coupler from side to side to make sure the width is less than 4-1/2 inches for the Diversi-Tech lock to work. • What is the Diversi-Tech Universal Trailer Coupler Lock Made Of
  • I spoke directly with Diversi-Tech about the Universal Trailer Coupler Lock, # DT25013KA. He stated that this lock is made of high pressure cast aluminum for the housing. The bar has triple chrome plating over steel. And the internal parts are steel. So there is steel all around the lock and chrome plating over that. The body itself is not made only of cast steel but many of the parts inside are.

  • Welding Diversi-Tech Puck Lock Part # DT39002 In Place
  • I spoke with one of our friends in the Tech Services Department at Diversi-Tech, who tells me it is possible to weld their puck lock, part # DT39002 in place. He went on to say that the puck itself is chrome plated steel. The plating would need to be ground off of the surfaces to be welded. The welds themselves should be done slowly, in a stitch pattern so that the puck did not heat up too much.

  • How Well Do the Locking Mechanisms Stand Up in the Diversi-Tech Aluminum Ball Mounts
  • We have not had any complaints regarding the Self-Locking, Aluminum Ball Mount, # DTALBM6625, locking up or freezing. • Adjustable Ball Mount Recommendation for a Ford F-350 Pickup
  • The adjustable ball mount you will need will depend on the height of the top of the hitch opening on your F-350 with 2-1/2 inch receiver hitch. We have an article that explains how to measure to select the correct ball mount, see link. For instance, on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 the top of the receiver opening is 20 inches from the ground when parked on a level surface. I use an adjustable drop receiver at 5 inches of drop, top of receiver opening to top of ball mount, for towing a equipment trai

We also have the Master Lock Shrouded Padlock, # 37DAT, that may work for your application.

  • Recommendation for an Adjustable Ball Mount on a 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 with Factory Tow Package
  • I offer adjustable ball mounts for a 2-1/2 hitch, but I would recommend to check the size of the hitch on your 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 with the factory installed tow package. The 2-1/2 inch size hitch would be a Class V hitch that would be rated to tow at least 14,000 lbs. I do not offer a hitch with a 2-1/2 inch opening for a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71. To check the size of your factory hitch you will just need to measure the inside of the opening of the hitch on your vehicle. The more comm
