Locking 2 Kayaks to a Roof Rack on a 2004 Toyota Tundra
To lock the kayaks to the vehicle I recommend a cable lock like # CAB-10, that you can put through something on the kayaks and then lock it to the trailer hitch safety chain loops. Another option is the Yakima multipurpose RipCord locks, # Y04048. I have included a link to a video review of these straps for you to view. Make sure that you attach the straps or cable to something that cannot be removed itself, like the hitch for example.

Keep in mind that the amount of weight that you can place on the rack will be limited by the capacity of the vehicle roof. Check for owners manual for the roof capacity, and be sure not to exceed it. Does the Darby Turbo-Rack Universal Single-Bar Roof Rack Make Noise or Whistle at Highway Speeds
We have not had any customers or testing that reporting wind noise or whistling of the Darby roof rack, # DTA968. However, any time you place something on the roof of a vehicle, there will be some noise. Also, round bars do have the tendency to whistle. For a more quiet roof rack, I will be happy to make some recommendation if I can get the year, make, and model of the vehicle.

There are two main pieces, the L shaped piece and the T shaped piece. Both ends of the L fit into the T so that the cross bar can be positioned behind the truck or up higher level with the cab.
