How Does the AMP Research Bed X-Tender L Bracket Kit for Compact Trucks Fit a 2011 Nissan Frontier- I spoke with my contact at Amp Research about the L bracket kit for the 2011 Frontier, # B74601. Basically, the L bracket is needed to go around that lip you have mentioned. The D pillar, where the mounting brackets that come with the bed extender are supposed to mount, attach to the L-bracket on the side with 6 holes. The side with 2 holes mounts to the truck so it goes out and around that lip that gets in the way.

Looking at a picture of the bracket with the upright L-shaped part of the bracket at the top, the length (right to left) of the bracket is 2-5/16 inches and the width (top to bottom) is 2-3/16 inches. The height of the L-shaped bracket is 7/8 inches.
The two holes on the L-shaped upright bracket are 1/4 inch diameter and the distance between the holes is 1-3/4 inch center to center.
