Model Installed the rear view camera & monitor on my Jeep Liberty 2003. It worked great. I made one change that I would recomend to new customers. I did not like to reach down and push the monitor on-off button each time I started and stopped my Jeep. So I consulted my Jeep manual and found a fuse panel that has easy access on the left side of the dash. I located a fuse that is hot with 12 volts DC from the battery when the Jeep engine is turned on and running, by the use of a DC voltmeter. I removed the Jeep fuse & soldered the red wire of the monitor to one side Jeep fuse blade and installed the Jeep fuse. Now when the ignition and engine are off so is the monitor. The first day after I installed the camera and monitor I started to back out of a gas station and the rear monitoring device gave me an early warning of a slow rolling pickup behind me & after that the monitor showed two slow walking people behind my vehicle. So when the view from the monitor was clear I started my parking exit. The cost of this product has already paid for it self the first day of use. The rear camera has a wide angle of view that spot cars and people before my Jeeps mirriors can see them. Thank you Etrailer.com Ronald, San Clemente, CA |
