Both manufacturers offer Custom Towing Mirrors that slide over the existing vehicle mirrors to give you added vision for towing. Aside from an easy installation that requires no tools, these mirrors leave no marks on your vehicle. They are fully adjustable and do not obstruct your existing mirror. The mirrors also keep the aerodynamic shape of the vehicle mirror to prevent wind noise and vibration.
Cipa OEM
Cipa OEM designed and manufactured extendable trailer towing mirrors enable you to replace your entire existing mirror with one that extends when trailering. No need to bother with taking your towing mirror off when not in use, these mirrors simply slide in and out quickly and easily. If your existing mirrors are electric and heated, the Cipa mirrors can plug into the existing wiring so you don't lose any of your truck's features.
Cipa Universal
Cipa universal fit towing mirrors are designed to attach to most original OEM factory side view mirrors. The universal fit towing mirrors come in several different styles and types. A deluxe door mount that will install on most vehicle and will extend up to 17" away from the vehicle. Another option is the dual view clip on style, which has two fully adjustable mirrors. One large flat mirror and a convex "blind spot" mirror The assembly has two fully adjustable arms that will attach to the factory installed mirror. Also available is the universal strap on style that has extendable feet to help stabilize itself on the back of many different mirror contours, for easy and secure installation.
Cipa Hot Spot Mirrors
Another way to increase towing visibility is to add a hot spot mirror to the existing vehicle mirror. Hot spot mirrors will have a convex mirror that will allow for a different angle of the side of the vehicle to be seen than with the regular mirror. Also convex towing mirrors will decrease the size of the blind spot, which is common to all vehicles and towing vehicles. Custom hot spot mirror are also available that attach to the mirror housing leaving the entire existing mirror surface open.
